SNA was established in 1929 at the time of the annual
conference of the Trained Nurses Association of India .
In 1947 miss I Dorabji was appointed a SNA secretary.

SNA GENERAL BODY
The SNA General body at thenational level shall comprise of:-1. Members of SNA General
Committee.2. Three representatives from each
unit via, SNA vice president SNAsecretary SNA advisor.
3. All SNA delegates attending theconference.
THE GENERAL BODY
MEETINGS
The general body meeting of the Association shall be
held at the time of the SNA conference.
The president, TNAI shall preside over the SNA
meetings. SNA office bearers of the host branch shall
conduct the SNA meeting, along with the president.
Agenda items from the branches should be sent to
national SNA advisor at least two months before the
general committee meeting.
UNIT ORGANIZATION
All officers shall be elected by the student
members of the unit as follows:-
1. SNA Advisor shall be a member of the TNAI
whose function shall be entirely advisory in
nature.
2. Vice-president shall be a student and preside
over all units meetings.
3. Unit secretary shall be a student.
4. Treasure convenes and members of
subcommittees may be elected to arrange for
various activities as the unit considers
necessary.
UNIT ACTIVITIES
1. The unit shall decide upon the duties of their officers
and committees and draw up a program of activities
in line with the objectives of the SNA.
2. The dairy of unit activities shall be kept by the unit
secretary and used as the basis for the quarterly
reports and the annual reports which shall be a
summary of important events.
3. Quarterly reports of activities shall be sent to the state
SNA advisor and copy to TNAI head quarters.
