Exxon Valdez:
The Exxon Valdez ocurred in Prince William Sound, Alaska, on March 24/1989, when the Exxon Valdez , an oil tanker bound for long Beach, California, hit Prince William Sound’s Bligh Reef and spilled an estimated minimum 10.8 million US gallons of crude oil. It is consider to be one of the most devastating human-caused environmental disasters ever in the history.
Gulf of Mexico:
• The Gulf of Mexico oil spill is a massive on going oil spill statemming from a sea floor oil gusher in the Gulf of Mexico that started with a suspicious oil well blowout on April 20/2010. Estimates of the amount of being discharged range from BP’s current estimate over 5.000 barrels (210.000 US gallons).
Differences:
• The Exxon Valdez ocurred on Prince William Sound while the gulf of Mexico Oil Spill ocurred on the Gulf of Mexico.
• The speciallist calculated the Exxon Valdez derramated 10.8 millions US gallons; while the Gulf of Mexico 210.000 US gallons.
• The exxon valdez ocurred on March,24/1989; while the Gulf of Mexico on April,20/2010.
