Powerpac Group is celebrating its 40 th anniversary as a leading supplier of innovative engineering and construction tools solution. The family owned and operated company was founded in 1976 by Stephen L. Suckling and is headquartered in Porirua, New Zealand. During the past 40 years Powerpac has built a tradition of excellence in providing its customers with innovative solutions, including automotive, construction, and electronics, medical and general industry. They continue to work closely with customers and suppliers to help identify and develop solutions that save time and money – and add value to their customers’ business objectives. Originally based in Hutt City, the company moved to Porirua in 1990 and in 2014 relocated to a 30,000 square foot facility in Porirua, Wellington. Over the 40 years, Powerpac Group has partnered with a very significant number of civil contractors, engineering companies and a wide range of service providers to supply tools and machinery on most major civil projects – Methanex Motonui, Maui Platform, Clyde Dam site Manapouri Tail Race expansion, NZ Aluminium Smelters, NZ Oil Refining Co, Huntly Power Station, NZ Railways (Kiwirail) Interisland Line………the list goes on. Powerpac Group grew up servicing the assembly tool requirements of the car and truck assembly industry – Honda, GM, Toyota, Ford/Mazda. As markets have changed, Powerpac has become the supplier of choice to many of New Zealand’s iconic companies such as Fisher & Paykel, Tait Electronics, PDL (now Schneider), ABB Motion & Control, Air New Zealand and Fisher & Paykel Healthcare. Powerpac continues to be nimble in moving and adjusting to changes, techniques and requirements within the industry in New Zealand and abroad, through their relationships with leading tool manufacturers - all while remaining laser focused in providing its customers with high quality and value for money solutions that add value to their customer’s goals and objectives.
