2007-2008 MAIQUETIA MARKET “Multicentro Maiquetía" (Built 2008-2010)

Commercial The Maiquetia Market is a seven-storey and 11,400 square meters retail , office and commercial building in Maiquetia, Venezuela. The market is located in the

center o f the town and is home of 349 small retail stores, 13 retail stores, 97 parking places, 52 offices, a foodcourt and others facilities. As well as the San Jorge Market this is a local market that work as a passage between the main square and a local street.

2006-2007 SAN JORGE MARKET “Mercado San Jorge” (Built 2006-2008)

Commercial The San Jorge Market is a three-storey and 10.000 square meters retail and commerc ia l bu i ld ing in Caracas, Venezuela. Located in the popular worker

neighbourhood of “El Cementerio” this building was originally a factory and parking place built in 1940. The project complete transformed the building in a market, home of 416 small retail stores, 20 retail stores, 147 storage units, a foodcourt and others facilities.

2008-2009 GENESIS VILLA “Villa Genesis” (Preliminary Design)

Residential Genesis Villa is a multi-residential two-storey and 1,6000 square meters residential building located in the beach city of Higuerote, Venezuela. The site has a dock with access and views to the main

waterway. The villa is home of 19, two bedroom and two bathroom single-storey holiday apartments, that surrender a social central space with views over the waterway, access to the dock and swimming pool.

2006 CASABERA COMPLEX Shopping Centre (Built 2006-2007)

Commercial This is the phase I of the Casabera Complex. The shopping centre is a three-storey and 9,568 square meters retail and commercial building in Caracas,

Venezuela. As the shopping centre it is part of a 1950 residential building, the project consisted in remodel the first three floor of the old building to home 166 retail stores, a foodcourt and other facilities as well as to become the main entry to the complex from the middle class neighbourhood of La Candelaria.

2006-2007 CASABERA COMPLEX Parking Building (Built 2008-2010)

Commercial This is the phase II of the Casabera complex. The parking building is seven-storey and 6,181 square meters edifice in Caracas Venezuela and it was built to

free the area needed to phase III. This steel structure building is home of 164 parking spaces belonged to the 1950 residential edifice and the shopping centre, an elevator and a helicoidal ramp designed for all three phase of the complex.

2007-2010 CASABERA COMPLEX Residential and Commercial Building

(Built 2011-2014) Residential

The phase III of the Casabera Complex is a 30-storey and 42,615 square meters multi-residential and commercial building

in Caracas, Venezuela. Located in the middle class neighbourhood of La Candelaria it is home of 5 retail stores, 2 department store, a public passage, 364 public and private parking places, 187 residential units and a small park located in the 9th floor. A previous different but complete project for this edifice was designed in 2007.

2015 LOS DOS CAMINOS COMPLEX “Conjunto Residencial Los Dos Caminos”

(Concept Design) Residential

”Los Dos Caminos” is concept design for two, 30-storey and 38,000 square meters multi-residential and commercial building

in the middle class neighbourhood of Los Dos Caminos in Caracas, Venezuela. The idea behind this building is to surround it with a metal skin in the order to create different spaces from simple planters, to balconies and big terraces, making every apartment unique.

2012-2014 LA RIBEREÑA COMPLEX “Conjunto Residencial La Ribereña”

(Project) Residential

“La Ribereña” is a multi-residential three phases complex project. The first phase are two six-storey and 25,233 square

meters building in the city of La Asunción, Venezuela. The buildings are designed surrounded three public open spaces and recreational facilities and home 171 apartments, more than 200 parking places, as well as three retail store and it has direct access to a community park.

2004 SAN DIEGO URBAN DEVELOPMENT “Urbanismo San Diego”

(Urban plan and Residential Units Preliminary Design)

Urban Planning The San Diego urban development is a government sponsor urban plan for a

2,970 one and two-storey, single a double houses for homeless families, located in the city of Valencia, Venezuela. The project includes parks, boulevard, urban facilities and detailed studies for the residential units and blocks.

2005 GUACO EXPRESS - FAST FOOD RESTAURANT

(Built 2005) Office and Retail

Guaco Express was the second restaurant of a new fast food franchise. It was a two-storey and 96 square meters

fast food place located in the CC Galerías Avila, Caracas, Venezuela. It was designed to show the image of the “Guaco” musical group (owner) while offering typical food for the Venezuela region of Zulia.

2005 ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE - HRC CARACAS

(Draft) Office and Retail

This was a draft for the new one-storey and 91 square meters, administrative office for the Caracas Hard Rock Cafe.

The office was located above one the bars, following its cylinder form and with access through a wood floating curve stairs.

2010 LEOPOLDO AGUERREVERE PRIVATE HOSPITAL - EXTENSION

(Preliminary Design) Architectural Competition

This preliminary design project was part of private architectural competition for a second four-storey edifice and a four-

storey parking building of 18,542 square meters for the Leopoldo Aguerrevere private hospital in Caracas, Venezuela, as well as a new proposal for a church. The parking building is designed to become an artificial topography and transition between the church and the new hospital building that will be the new complex entrance.

2008-2011 SCIENCE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

“Universidad Especializada de las Ciencias Básicas” (Project - Building 2008 -

present ) Educational

The Science University “Universidad Especializada de las Ciencias Básicas” is a new campus that belong to a government plan to build 10 new university campus in Venezuela. It is located in the IVIC “Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas”. The campus is the home of 17 buildings

placed in 5 different locations within the IVIC and this are: 1 Bus Station, 2 Parking building, 3 Bus Workshop, 4 Classroom Building, 5 Library and Administrative Building, 6 Physics Laboratory Building, 7 Technology Building, 8 Food Building, 9 Auditorium, 10 Fire Station, 11 Vertical Building 1, 12 Vertical Building 2, 13 Residence Apartments 1, 14, Dormitory 2, 15 Dormitory 3, 16 Dormitory 4 and 17 Residence Apartments 2 The total construction area is 99,500 square meters.The Science University was design to home 5,000 students, 3,000 undergraduate and 2000 postgraduate, PhD and researcher in the areas of mathematic, physics, chemistry and biology.

2010-2011 GUACARA URBAN DEVELOPMENT

“Urbanismo Guacara” (Project) Urban Planning

The Guacara urban development is an urban plan for a multi-residential new complex of 23 eight-storey buildings in an

area of 164,568 square meters in the city of Guacara Venezuela. The urban development is equipped with educational, recreational, religious, cultural and health care facilities as well as two one-storey retail buildings, and it is close to the city market.

2004 SANCHEZ HOUSE “Casa Sanchez” (Project)

Residential The Sanchez House, is a single two-storey and 417,71 square meters house located in the wealthy neighbourhood of El Hatillo, Caracas Venezuela. This 4

bedroom and 5 bathroom house, was designed following the topography and it has a big garden with a deck as a transition between the social spaces (living and dining room and studio) and the exterior of the house.

2007 CARACAS PROFESSIONAL AMPHITHEATER

(Roof and Dressing Rooms Preliminary Draft) Office and Retail

The Caracas Professional was a preliminary draft and concept design for a retractable roof to install in the 1,000 seat

Sambil Mall amphitheater. The study included different system of retractable roof options base on PVC roofing membranes as well as proposals for the dressing room and backstage facilities.

2006 MSJ ATELLIER - SAN JORGE MARKET

(Project) Office and Retail

The MSJ Atellier is a 35 square meters unisex haircut salon located on the San Jorge Market in Caracas, Venezuela.

The services in the salon were place following a layout schematic design from the center to the perimeter, the salon has an open facade to the main entrance of the San Jorge Market.

2009 LOMA GREEN PENTHOUSE EXTENSION

(Built 2009) Office and Retail

The Loma Green Penthouse extension was a projects to add a second 200 square meter floor to the original

penthouse of the Texeira family in Caracas, Venezuela. This floor was divide in two areas, a close one at south for the guess room and services, and an open space with a glass facade at north for a second dining room, family room, play room, grill and terraces.

2012 METRO CARACAS OFFICES “Campamento el Morro” (Build 2012-2013)

Office and Retail The Metro Caracas Offices is a four one-storey and 3,654 square meters building complex located in the city of Guarenas, Venezuela. The four buildings are: an

administrative, cafeteria, workshop and laboratory, they all were place around an open space (the square) and are communicate by a small boulevard, the complex was complete with a 100 tree cover parking lot and green walk path around the buildings.

2002 SPECIAL PROGRAMS OFFICE - RENOVATION

“Oficina de Programas Especiales”(Built 2002) Office

This was a remodelling projects for a 202 square meters office of the Special

Programs units of the USB located in Caracas, Venezuela. The unit requirement was created a group of private close offices, separate to the classrooms areas and with a new reception area.

2003 RETIRED PROFESSORS PARK “Parque de los Profesores Jubilados”

(Conceptual Design) Landscaping

In 2002 the USB decide to honour the retired professors with a new park that will display the name of all of then. This

4,935 square meters park was designed as path through a forest, with a curve wall portal, an amphitheater and several seats to allow places to talk or rest for the visitors.

2003 ENE FOODCOURT BUILDING “Cafetería Edificio ENE”

(Preliminary Design) Office and Retail

The ENE Foodcourt was a preliminary and concept design for a two-storey and 932 square meters building. The idea

was design this building as a facade for the campus as well as a connector between two of the main parking lots located in different levels. The foodcourt will be a glass box cover by a floating steel roof and will be the home of 8 fast food store.

2003 LIBRARY BASSMENT RETAIL “Estudios Sótano de la Biblioteca”

(Draft) Office and Retail

In 2002 it was presented this proposal to move all retail and fast food store in the USB to one place locate under the library

bridge. The idea was bring life to the “Cromovegetal” sculpture. The new one-storey and 2,274 square meters retail and fast food court will bring activities to an otherwise useless space just in the campus heart.

2005 CLASSROOM BUILDING LANDSCAPE

“Paisajismo Edificio de Aulas” (Project) Landscaping

This landscape architectural design was located in the 8,638 square meters outdoors areas of the classroom building.

It was designed as a park with rest areas for students between classes, as transition spaces with the university campus, as well as a small botanic garden. A parking lot will be build at the south and west in addition to a cafeteria.

2004 MULTIMEDIA CLASSROOMS “Aulas Multimedia” (Built 2004)

Office In 2003 the USB launch a plan to renovate, upgrade and add new multimedia classroom. The multimedia classrooms in the classroom building

were the pilot classrooms. This are two 15 seats and two 30 seats classroom, the idea was transform this spaces in amphitheater multimedia classroom, that can be used no just for class but for conferences and as a computer laboratories.

2005 CLASSROOM BUILDING CAFETERIA

“Cafetin Edificio de Aulas” (Project) Office and Retail

This two-storey and 341 square meters building was designed to serve as a cafeteria for the classroom building. The

idea was design a floating steel membrane roof that covers a conical structure below as well as tables and seats, this floating roof is locate in the middle of the classroom building gardens. All the services areas are located and hide in a semi-basement.

2006 DACE OFFICES “ Oficinas de DACE” (Project)

Office This project is part of a complete renovation plan for the CCBI building. The project included a complete reorganisation of the 821 square meters

DACE offices. The idea was created five independent but connected space for the 5 units of the Admission Direction Offices, and include the complete transformation of the main archives space.

2005 SCULPTURE CLASSROOMS “Salones de Escultura” (Built 2004)

Classrooms This one-storey and 83 square meters outbuildings was designed to home the two new sculpture classroom in the school of architecture buildings. They

designed as open space with all the services need it, in addition to the indoor space each classroom has an outdoor space as well, to ease the creative and construction process. Every space have a showcase designed to storage the students works through the entire class quarter.

2006 USB VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER BUILDING

“Edificio Bomberos Voluntarios USB”(Project)

Fire Brigade This is the project for a three-storey and 1,257 square meters fire building

located in Caracas (USB), Venezuela. The building was organised surrounding an open space that serve de operational activities to the building. This building has administrative office, dining, living, and playroom facilities, as well as first aid room.

2005 USB ARCHITECT STUDENTS FURNITURE

“USB Mobiliarios Tipo” (Built 2005-2006) Furniture

This project was part of the school of architecture building renovation plan. The project consisted in design a new student

module model to replace the 240 existing modules. The module has a steel structure with a white marble work surface, a portable drawing table and a locker.

2002-2007 STANDARDS FURNITURE “USB Mobiliarios Tipo” (Built 2002-2007)

Furniture This was a project to design the standard office furniture to be used in all renovation, remodelling and new office in the entire campus. The set of furniture

included several model of work station, reception modules, meeting tables, computer tables and other.

”Los Dos Caminos” is concept design for two, 30-storey and 38,000 square meters multi-residential and commercial building in the middle class neighbourhood of Los Dos Caminos in Caracas, Venezuela. The idea behind this building is to surround it with a metal skin in the order to create different spaces from simple planters, to balconies and big terraces, making every apartment unique.

The Sanchez House, is a single two-storey and 417,71 square meters house located in the wealthy neighbourhood of El Hatillo, Caracas Venezuela. This 4 bedroom and 5 bathroom house, was designed following the topography and it has a big garden with a deck as a transition between the social spaces (living and dining room and studio) and the exterior of the house.

The Science University “Universidad Especializada de las Ciencias Básicas” is a new campus that belong to a government plan to build 10 new university campus in Venezuela. It is located in the IVIC “Instituto Venezolano de Investigaciones Científicas”. The campus is the home of 17 buildings placed in 5 different locations within the IVIC and this are: 1 Bus Station, 2 Parking building, 3 Bus Workshop, 4 Classroom Building, 5 Library and Administrative Building, 6 Physics Laboratory Building, 7 Technology Building, 8 Food Building, 9 Auditorium, 10 Fire Station, 11 Vertical Building 1, 12 Vertical Building 2, 13 Residence Apartments 1, 14, Dormitory 2, 15 Dormitory 3, 16 Dormitory 4 and 17 Residence Apartments 2 The total construction area is 99,500 square meters.The Science University was design to home 5,000 students, 3,000 undergraduate and 2000 postgraduate, PhD and researcher in the areas of mathematic, physics, chemistry and biology.
