FOOD AT THE CENTER Program that has to do with food radiates out sequentially from the center of the building. The restaurant and the market stalls are at the epicenter of the building with a program that focuses on consuming food. The second program layer provides spaces for preparing food and the third and outermost layer is for producing food. The volume of the building has been carved, sliced, and punched so that the greatest volumes and the most natural light reinforces the core of the building as having the most important programmatic spaces. An open floor plan strengthens relationships between individual program elements. The restaurants kitchen can be seen from both the demonstration kitchen and the restaurant. Continuous Glazing with set-back floor plates accentuates the carved gestures of the building.

ARCH 400 AUT 15- The goal of the studio was to providea building on one of three sites to act as both a retreatand a place of research. The remaining heirs of the townof Hooper, WA want to revitalize the dormant town by becoming a tourist destination. The concept of the projectis to emulate the form of basalt to blend in with the landscape and to provide a unique architectural experienceto those that visit. The building would be constructed offormed concrete.

ARCH 401 WIN 16-Site Analysis of Tempelhof Airport, Berlin, Germany. Entrances, resedential and commercial zones are marked. Park areas and primary parktrails are deliniated. The goal of the studio was to provide services for the thousands of displaces refugees living in temporary housing on site.

Circulation routes are established, extending from existing entrances. The developed zones will serve the existing community and the need for temporary housing and facilities for displased immigrants.

Between new circulation routes are zones for housing/community buildings and landscaping as well as forested park space. The arrows indicate ows into the parkthat behave like water, erroding and depositing.

Finalized urban development scheme for the Midreview presentation

A reviewer mentioned the similarity between the scheme and the landscape design of Roberto Burle MarxA painterly strategy was taken on for the development of the Midreview scheme in the spirit of the previouslymentioned artist.

A portion of the Midreview scheme was zoomed in on and developed in the spirit of Roberto Burle Marx with the various colors representing dierent developmnet types.

The style of Architects Sauerbruch and Hutton was most inuential in the develpment of builings that would t the scheme.

ARCH 402 SPR 16-From the beginning of the studio I was adamant about using a rising dovetail on the projects. The initial design adapted to accomodate this joint. The proportions of the pair of night stands were altered betweeniterations. The nal pair is constructed of Cherry wood and have OSMO nishes. The singular nightstand was designed and built lastly out of Ash wood with a beeswax nish. The goal of the studio was to take note of and emulateDanish furniture design which we studied for several weeks in Copenhagen, Denmark during spring break prior to the begining of Spring quarter 2016. Elegance, renemnet, and craft were the primary goals for my designs.

The cell phone holder was created starting with a 3 inch square that has been extruded 3.5 inches. The shape is then altered using the cage edit command. A ten controlpoint grid is created in all primary directions. Every other control point from alternating rows are pulled outwardsperpendicular to all vertical faces of the shape. The upper quarter of the shape is rotated/twisted 45 degrees. The process is repeated downwards for the rest of the shape.

for the charging cord if the phone is placed up side down. The hole also ensures that any sounds coming from the phone will be heard.

The goal of the table was to have a minimalamout of pieces while maximizing the fourby four foot piece of plywood that the tableis fabricated from. The support for the tabletop and the legs have a cross pattern so that

plywood to maximise the material usage. The thickness of the support members arethick enough to ensure durability and stability.
