Dräger X-am 7000: the combination is what counts In many areas of application, optimal protection is only ensured by thesimultaneous monitoring of explosivehazards and toxic gases. The well-established Dräger X-am 7000 ideallycombines the necessary measuring technologies.

Depending on the application, it is possibleto use a PID sensor with a catalytic orinfrared sensor. Three further channels are available for measuring oxygen andtoxic gases. Designed for harsh ambientconditions, the instrument is the perfectsolution for monitoring areas and entry into confined spaces in chemical, petrochemical and utilities industries.

Dräger Multi PID 2: highly sensitive toorganic compounds Dräger Multi-PID 2 was developedespecially for detecting highly volatileorganic compounds (abbreviated to VOCs)in the ppm and ppb range. This robust all-rounder is suitable for a wide range ofapplications: e.g. soil screening, water orgas container monitoring; leak detection or confined space measurements.

The standard measuring range of theDräger Multi-PID 2 is from 0 to 2000 ppmand can be extended, using an optional gas dilution probe, to up to 20,000 ppm.Additional accessories such as pre-filtertubes, which can be easily integrated, expands the range of applications quicklyand without complications

DrägerSensors: More than 30 DrägerSensorsallow more than 100 gasesand vapors to be detected.

Whatever is in the air – more than 30 different DrägerSensors from ourcontinually growing sensor family areavailable for the detection of over 100gases and vapors. Three different principles of measurement are used.Electrochemical sensors warn against toxic gases and oxygen deficiency orenrichment. Catalytic and infrared-opticalsensors monitor explosive mixtures. Infrared technology is also used to measure carbon dioxide.

The fact that all our sensors are developedand produced in-house guarantees anoptimal interaction between instrument and sensor – the essential prerequisite for ensuring perfect user-friendliness and measuring performance.

XXS in size, XXL in performance Portable gas detection instruments for daily use need to be as small as possible, lightweight and unobtrusive – but also offer

maximum performance. Reason enough for us to drastically reduce the volume and weight of the sensors and to develop a miniaturized XXS generation ofDrägerSensors.

This innovative sensor generation is setting new standards in the field of gasdetection technology worldwide. Highsensitivity and improved gas selectivity, combined with excellent long-term stabilityand rapid response times, guarantee thatthe operator is alerted quickly and reliablyto the presence of hazardous gases, thusincreasing safety at work.

Plug & Play The well established smart sensors are characterized by their intelligence. Sensor-specific data such as temperaturecompensation, calibration values, gas typeand measuring range are stored in thesensor.

WHETHER ELECTROCHEMICAL, CATALYTIC OR INFRARED – SENSORS FROM DRÄGER HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PSYNONYMOUS

WITH INTERNATIONAL LEADING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY. ALL OUR SENSORS ARE PRODUCED UNDER CLEAN ROOM CONDITIONS AND

ARE INDIVIDUALLY TESTED PRIOR TO SHIPMENT. THEY HAVE BEEN PROVEN WORLDWIDE UNDER HOSTILE AMBIENT CONDITIONS

SUCH AS IN MINING, ON OFFSHORE DRILLING RIGS, IN REFINERIES AND IN CHEMICAL PLANTS.

PROFESSIONAL INSTRUMENT MANAGEMENT

Dräger Bump Test Station: Function (bump) or calibrationtests can be easily performed.

THIS SIMPLE PHILOSOPHY BEST DESCRIBES THE NECESSITY OF FUNCTION (BUMP)

TESTS. REGULAR INSPECTIONS, EFFECTIVE MAINTENANCE AND CALIBRATION IS THE

ONLY WAY TO ENSURE THAT THE INSTRUMENTS ARE FUNCTIONING CORRECTLY AND

RELIABLY.

Sometimes trust is not enough, tests are also essential. Particularly when itcomes to the safety of your colleagues.Your protection is dependent on the proper functioning of your measurementand warning instruments. In general, you are required to regularly test theinstrument’s functionality using a knowngas concentration in order to guaranteereliable and correct warning against gashazards. If these tests are time-consumingit can have an impact on your work, that is why the Dräger Bump Test Stationenables you to perform function (bump)tests using a test gas cylinder in a matterof seconds, in a way that is reliable anduncomplicated.

As the Bump Test Station does not require electricity, it is ideal for taking out in the field. A function (bump) test isused to ensure that the sensor responds

correctly and the alarms function asintended. If the detector has been exposedto very high concentrations of toxic gasesand vapors, it needs to be tested and calibrated immediately – independent ofthe current function (bump) test interval.

One for all Dräger Pac 1000 to 7000, Dräger X-am 1/2/5000, 3000 and 7000 can be tested by means of an integrated instrument-specific adaptor.

Tested safety in printed form When used in conjunction with the Dräger Bump Test Station, the new Dräger Mobile Printer makes recording alltest data on-site easy and uncomplicated. It stores the results of the function (bump)tests which can be read via the Dräger CC-Vision software.

Dräger E-Cal:Professional instrumentmanagement.

DEVELOPED TO MINIMIZE TIME, COST AND COMPLEXITY, DRÄGER E-CAL IS THE

BENCHMARK IN INSTRUMENT MANAGEMENT. THE AUTOMATIC TESTING AND

CALIBRATION STATION CALIBRATES AND CHECKS ALL DRÄGER PORTABLE GAS

DETECTION INSTRUMENTS. KEY PARAMETERS ARE ALSO STORED AND DOCUMENTED.

Easy, fast and professional – Dräger E-Calis a practical solution, ensuring constantoperational readiness. All portable Drägergas detection instruments can be reliablytested and calibrated via just one station.Up to ten instruments can be calibrated atonce, and up to four different sensor typescan be calibrated simultaneously.

The modular system, based on Dräger CC Vision E-Cal software, also pays off when managing smaller equipmentinventories. Even if only a few instrumentsneed to be calibrated and tested each year,Dräger E-Cal can deliver considerable cost

savings. Dräger E-Cal can be operated with standard gases or mixed gases –though the station reaches optimumperformance when mixed gases are used. For efficient equipment management, calibration gases need to be supplied inconveniently-sized packaging and inconcentrations and mixtures that reflect the required applications. A full range of accessories is also available, e.g.regulation valves, special hoses etc. Empty non-refillable calibration gascylinders can be disposed of in anenvironmentally friendly manner.

Dräger-Tubes® are characterized in particular by their ease of use and highdegree of measuring accuracy – atcomparably low costs. The Dräger-Tubesystem is the result of 70 years ofexperience and is still at the leading edgeof technology. Continuous development andrapid adaptation to new legal requirementssuch as limit values as well as researchinto new detection techniques makeDräger-Tubes® an essential measuringdevice.

Whether you want to detect a spotcontaminant concentration or the meanvalue over a longer period, our short termtubes or diffusion tubes deliver reliableresults to meet your needs. The diffusion tubes are worn on your person for personal exposure monitoringand do not require the use of a pump.

No pump is required either with the use of the ORSA diffusion tube, which is usedwhen the contaminant to be measuredcontains similar components. The ambientair is simply drawn into the tube and adetailed analysis is provided by a laboratoryafterwards.

The implementation of specialrequirements ensures that there is a suitable response to each situation. For example, simultaneous tests are used to detect unknown gas hazards which occur at the same time. Specialmeasuring strategies systematically isolate potential contaminants in accidentsinvolving dangerous goods, and the HotPack Holder ensures reliable measuringresults even in extremely cold conditions(down to – 20 °C).
