Expected to hit the market by mid 2014 for a price range of Rs 3.70-5.70 Lakh, the Skoda Citigo is set to be a hit, if backed by strong dealership and after sales network. 3. Bajaj RE 60 – Set to be launched in Mid 2014, this hatchback from Indian auto giant Bajaj is priced at Rs 1.25-2.50 Lakh. It will undoubtedly be the cheapest car to hit the street this year. Though it runs the risk of being called a ‘Quadricycle’, it is in fact a useful, 4-seater automobile, which is expected to do well in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. As the RE60 cannot be sold to individuals, it is expected that it will replace the auto rickshaws soon. 4. Tata Nano Update and Diesel - expected to hit the market soon, the Nano will cost around Rs 1.5- 2.75 Lakh. Coming with power steering and other attractive features, the first upgrade version of this Indian car will definitely set the streets on fire. 5. Maruti-Suzuki Cervo – No list of popular cars can be complete without mentioning Maruti in India. The Cervo, priced at Rs 2.00-3.50 Lakh is cheaper than the already cheap Maruti Suzuki Alto 800.
