Air Pollution• The burning of fossil fuels

releases pollutants (like CO2, NO2, NO3, and SO2) into the air.

• Air pollution causes breathing problems for people, damages the ozone layer, may affect global warming, and causes acid rain.

Natural causes of air pollution

•Methane from livestock•Volcanic activity•Smoke from wildfires

Smog• A type of air pollution

• Caused by exhaust from cars/buses and industrial fumes in a city

• The word comes from combining SMoke and fOG

Water Pollution• Water pollution can come

from fertilizers and pesticides used in farming, industrial waste, oil runoff from roads, landfills, and septic tanks.

• When water that is contaminated enters soil, it then can enter our water lines and hurt us.
