Podcasting is the distribution of audio files through an RSS feed – most blogging software features RSS feed generation

Users may subscribe to a series of podcasts that are automatically sent to their computer or MP3 player-almost all subscriptions are free

Users may also select a podcast based on their individual needs at the time

Podcasts are free of radio distortion and interference

All you need to create a podcast is a microphone, a PC connected to a website that you post your program to, and audio editing software (most are free)
