Welcome to our first Calendar for 2019!

Welcome to another year of Time to Enjoy outings with the team at Activus. We know that many will be making their bookings for these trips before

Christmas, don’t forget to write down the trips you have booked, and remember to listen to the automated telephone call the night before your trip for any updated information about time of pick up.

As we mentioned previously, due to increases in the cost of delivering our bus outings, from the 1st of January 2019 we will be increasing the cost of the transport on our social outings to $20. This will bring the bus trips in line with the cost of the car services – the cost of shopping will remain at $10. Look out for the new ‘Go Shuttle’ Buy 5 get one free promotion happening in the New Year.

Starting off the New Year with an old favourite, Bingo at Dooley’s, and a new Bingo and lunch venue at Forestville RSL Club on the 14th.

Shopping at Southpoint Hillsdale for Some bargain clothing shopping on the 15th.

Enjoy a seafood lunch at Danny’s in La Perouse while taking in the ocean views on the 16th and 23rd.

Gaden Café on the 25th for lunch and entertainment.

It’s off to the Appleshack at Glenbernie Orchard on the 30th and after taking in all that fresh air, a well deserved lunch at Helensburgh Tradies.

Variety shows at St George Leagues Club on the 8th and 22nd, lunch at Cronulla RSL on the 9th and 29th, Earlwood RSL on the 11th and Bellambi on the 18th.

FEBRUARYNO PRE-PAID INVOICED EVENTS

We kick off February by taking in breathtaking scenery from Sublime Point Restaurant for lunch.

Variety Day Show is back at Liverpool RSL on the 5th, followed by another popular Cabaret Show at The Junior’s Kingsford on the 6th.

On the 7th and 14th an exciting tour and look behind the scenes at the Museum Discovery Centre followed by lunch at The Fiddler.

There is an exciting Clever Ageing Expo being held at Club on East on the 19th. Come along and listen to guest speakers get information and see demonstrations on how to live longer, healthier and happier lives.

Some much needed retail therapy at Damart Innovations on the 21st and enjoy morning tea and a light lunch at their café.

Movie day at Sutherland Entertainment Centre on the 27th, ‘Storm Boy’. A provoking story of a young boy and his friendship with a Pelican.

Of course many other enjoyable outings during the month, some old time favourites and some new.

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONVenue Concerts and Shows In future, Shows at Ettamogah Hotel, Casula Powerhouse, Wollongong Town Hall and Bryan Brown Theatre will no longer be pre-paid by Activus and client’s invoiced. Clients who wish to attend shows at these venues will need to contact the venues and book and pay for their own tickets. Please call the office to book your transport to any of these events.

Fares & Other Costs From 1st January 2019, bus fare will be $20.00. This is additional to any venue or meal costs unless stated otherwise.

Club Entry When entering a club, a valid ID, Pension and/or Concession Card must be presented.

Lunch Options At times a venue may have a set group lunch menu and price. Please advise our booking staff if you have any dietary requirements.

Companion Cards A carer travelling with you must have a current Companion Card to qualify for free bus fare or full cost is payable.

Other Information Outings with Central Pick Ups do not receive an automated reminder call. Please call the office to check your pick up time the day before.
