How does it work?

Verifiers are the people who would know about your well being. Planned Departure would get in touch with them if we can not reach you. We would also request them to send legal proof of your condition.

Your siblings, parents and uncles / aunts could be ideal verifiers

Beneficiaries are the people who would get your digital assets after we obtain legal proofs from the verifiers. You can have as many beneficiaries as you need.

As a user, you are the best person to specify right beneficiary for every asset. For example, information about insurance policy could go to your parents and your email to siblings.

Important information stored in the digital format is digital asset. Information about your online accounts such as email, iTunes, Kindle or PayPal are some examples of digital assets. Important information such as scanned copies of your passport, property papers etc. could also be part of your digital assets.

You can store as many digital assets as you want. You can also assign right beneficiaries for every asset you store.

Verifiers will not get your digital assets However, your beneficiaries and verifiers could be the same person Verifiers should be able to provide legal proofs of your condition Verifiers need to accept responsibility as a verifier We suggest, you add at least five verifiers so that we can cross check your

situation with them, if needed. We will only get in touch with verifiers if we can not reach you.

VERIFIERS

Beneficiaries are the people who will get your digital assets after you pass away or become critically ill You can either notify them in advance or keep it secrete There is no limit on the number of beneficiaries. You can add as many

beneficiaries as you want You can distribute your assets to multiple beneficiaries. You can also leave instructions for them - i.e, what they should do to these assets.You can even leave your digital assets to charities or other organisations.
