Pinterest is an photo sharing, social media tool used to create and manage theme-
based image collections.
It is a visual portfolio you can tailor to your potential audience.
Why Pinterest?
● It's a custom-made visual storyboard or portfolio for your potential audience.
● More than social media, Pinterest is a social tool you can use online and in store.
● Visually show customers what you have done, can do, and also what you want to do.

Pinterest – Getting Started
● Use a separate Business Account for your shop, instead of a personal profile.
● Choose a profile picture and stick with it. Use your logo or shop photo, something memorable.
● Fill out your Business Information completely and consistently, including a verified link to your website. (May need to get help from a webmaster to verify.)
● Find businesses who do Pinterest well, and follow their lead.

● Pin - An image added to Pinterest.
● Boards - A board is a collection of pins.
● Pinning – Adding a Pin to a board.
● Repinning – Pinning an existing pin to a board.
● Following – Refers to following boards. Pins from these boards show up in your Pinterest home feed. You can choose to follow all of a person's boards, or just a select few.

What To Do On Pinterest?
InspireIf you could build your own selection guide,
what chapters (boards) would you use?
● Pin great photos.
● Make a range of Boards to appeal to all visitors
● Use good Pin descriptions with keywords.
● Use calls-to-action when linking to your website. (Click to see more of our Mother's Day selection...)
● Be Active – aim to add new pins once a week. (Use mobile app to make it more convenient.)
What To Do On Pinterest?
Always Give Due Credit
Never strip the credit link from pins, unless
they are wrong and you are correcting
them.
● Pin pictures of your own arrangements with links back to your website.
● Repin pictures of designs you WANT to create from others in the industry.
● Use the mobile app to easily upload your own photos and pin on the go!
What NOT To Do on Pinterest
Keep it Relevant
Keep the recipes and beach pictures
to your personal Pinterest.
● Don't edit pins that aren't yours to link to your website.
● Keep boards organized, don't post a bunch of cookie recipes to your red roses board.
● Don't ignore the descriptions. Using good descriptions with keywords helps get your pins found.
Board Example: Wedding
Pin by occasion – Create boards based on wedding components, such as Wedding Bouquet, Wedding Reception Flowers, Wedding Ceremony Flowers.
Pin by color – Group your favorite wedding colors or color scheme.
Pin by style - Group pins based on different style weddings, such as Country Wedding, Traditional, Modern, etc.

Bride Specific Wedding Boards
● Make a Board For Specific Brides
● Use the board to plan and inspire all wedding flowers
● Invite the bride to add her own Pins under Edit Board.
Board Example: Events & Occasions
Pin By Events & Occasions You can organize boards as simply or specifically as you want, for instance you might have a Sympathy
board, or you might have it separated into Casket Sprays, Sympathy Arrangements, Custom
Tributes, etc.
