Pinnacle’s Perfecta™ DHC5 Tournament Class Rods have arrived. And we think you’ll agree, they’re as close to perfect as humanly possible.

X-BONE™ METAL FRAME & SIDE COVERS

Pinnacle’s Tournament Class baitcasters feature an X-pattern frame layout engineered to equally distribute the amount of critical stress points (similar to an automobile chassis), which ideally compensates the total weight load. This maximizes rigidity and increases the tensile strength of the entire framework of the reel. Aluminum metal alloy frame construction and metal side covers also minimize torque, keeping the gears and components in perfect alignment under heavy loads.

DURALUMIN REEL COMPONENTS

The drive gear, drive shaft and worm gear of every Tournament Class Optimus baitcaster are composed of Duralumin – an aluminum alloy that’s 70 percent lighter and 20 percent stronger than brass. This allows for increased strength and durability, whileminimizing overall reel weight.

PORTED ALUMINUM SPOOL

Each Tournament Class Performa™ XT Spinning Reel boasts a durable, cold-forged ported aluminum spool. The precision cross-drilled holes on the skirt of the spool ensure optimum balance and help reduce reel weight.

TANDEM CAST CONTROL

Tandem Cast Control combines the best properties of magnetic and centrifugal braking systems to maximize casting distance and virtually eliminate backlash. The exact brake setting desired can be selected by adjusting the easy-to-use dial. Here’s how TCC works. At the beginning of a cast, the spool turns at incredibly high RPM. Because the centrifugal system is best suited to control backlash when the spool is spinning fast, it takes over during this phase of the cast. The magnetic braking system performs best when the spool is turning at slower speeds, so it comes into play toward the end of the cast. Combining both braking systems allows for optimum control over the entire range of spool RPM during every cast.

QUICKFLIP™ BUTTON

The industry’s first QuickFlip™ Button (on allOptimus™ model baitcasters) is ergonomically-designed and located on the right side of the reel frame. The button’s accessibility and ease-of-use allows the angler to engage the gear without turning the handle the instant a bite is detected. That means fewer “missed” fish and more solid hooksets.

CARBON FIBER DRAG WASHERS

All Tournament Class reels feature multi-stack drag systems that incorporate cross-woven uni-directional carbon drag washers for superior smoothness, consistency and fish-stopping power.

TITANIUM DEPOSITION FINISH

The side covers on our all-metal Optimus™ XLT/XT and Performa™ XLT/XT baitcasters are specially

treated with a Titanium Deposition (Titanium Nitride) finish. Unlike painted reels, where the paint will eventually flake, this coating is extremely durable and highly resistant to

nicks and scratches. The Titanium particles are vaporized in a vacuum chamber to induce

chemical bonding to the aluminum alloy surface of the side covers. This makes the finish significantly

stronger and more durable than any painted surface.

QUICKFOLD™ FOLDING HANDLE

The uniquely designed handle arm on our Tournament Class Performa™ XT Spinning Reel is not only strong and durable, it also folds down conveniently with the touch of a button for easy transport and storage.

WATERPROOF MULTI-STACK DRAG SYSTEM

Every Tournament Class Performa™ XT Spinning Reel features a sealed, waterproof drag housing designed to keep water, moisture and impurities away from the washers and system components. This provides maximum corrosion resistance and ensures smooth, reliable drag performance under all conditions.

DOUBLE HELICAL CONSTRUCTION (DHC5)

Pinnacle’s exclusive Double Helical Construction allows for dramatically reduced rod weight and increased sensitivity, while maximizing strength and durability. The process begins with high-density carbon tape wrapped around the length of a mandrel. Next, layers of high-modulus, uni-directional graphite prepreg, without glass scrim, are applied over the initial carbon tape wrap. Normally, eliminating scrim would make for too brittle a rod, but that’s not the case with DHC5. We reinforce blank strength by rolling another layer of high-density carbon tape over the graphite prepreg in the opposite direction of the first carbon wrap. The end result is an amazingly light, ultra-sensitive rod that’s also extremely rugged and powerful.

UNIQUE HOOK KEEPER DESIGN

Each Tournament Class Perfecta™ Rod features a specially designed and positioned hook keeper for securing your lure when not in use. Unlike most hook keepers, this one features an open design that makes it easier to secure a rigged lure. It’s also strategically positioned on the underside of the blank to prevent interference with your line when you’re fishing.

HEAVY EPOXY COATING

Our two-part, slow-curing heavy epoxy coating process ensures maximum protection against cracking that can result from UV damage. Ordinary rods typically feature only one UV coating that can become brittle and crack over time.

FUJI® COMPONENTS

All Perfecta™ rods feature Fuji® guides with Alconite rings and diamond-polished stainless steel frames. Alconite – a unique ceramic – is 20 percent lighter than aluminum oxide, but delivers 80 percent greater compression resistance. Diamond-polishing the stainless steel frames creates a finish that’s 20 percent smoother than Hardloy. The use of Alconite, along with Fuji’s “New Concept” frames, results in guides up to 35 percent lighter and 50 percent stronger than ordinary guides. Perfecta rods also boast lightweight yet durable Fuji ACS or VSS reel seats for a comfortable grip and increased sensitivity.

Pinnacle Warranty1 Year Limited Warranty

Pinnacle fishing product, except Perfecta DHC5 rod series, carries a limited warranty for a period of one year from the date of purchase against defects in workmanship and/or materials. During this period, Silstar Corporation of America, Inc. will perform repairs or effect replacement, at its option. The warranty extends only to the original owner (Consumer). Purchaser should return defective rod and/or reel postage prepaid, insured with valid proof of purchase (indicating the date purchased) with $15.00 to cover return postage payable to Silstar Corporation. This warranty will be VOID if the rod or reel is found to have been subject to unauthorized alterations, abuse or damaged by failure to provide necessary and reasonable maintenance.

Retailers and wholesale outlets for Pinnacle products are NOT authorized to perform warranty repairs or exchange on behalf of Pinnacle/Silstar. Pinnacle reels and rods not covered by Pinnacle warranty may be repaired at nominal charge provided these reels and rods are returned postage prepaid. We reserve the right to replace a discontinued model with a current comparable model of our choosing. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

Pinnacle Fishing (Silstar Corp. of America, Inc.) backs up every Perfecta DHC5 rod with a Limited Lifetime Warranty covering defects in workmanship and/or materials for the lifetime of the product from original date of purchase. This warranty extends only to the original owner (Consumer) with valid proof of purchase, and is not-transferable. Warranty Registration form information will be used to substantiate that you are the original owner.

We reserve the right to replace a discontinued model with a current, comparable model. This warranty will be VOID if the rod is found to have been subject to unauthorized alteration, abuse, or damaged due to lack of necessary maintenance.

For warranty service, return the defective rod to Service Department, postage prepaid/insured, with valid proof of purchase(receipt indicating purchase date), a check or money order in the amount of $25.00 made payable to Silstar Corp. of America, Inc., (for return postage and handling), return shipping address, telephone number and e-mail address, plus a note describing the nature of defect.
