What is HDR?

• HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography is a

method of photography which involves

combining multiple photographs of the same

subject taken at different exposure values.

• Best results are usually obtained by taking 5

different photographs using the same settings,

and simply changing the exposure value.

In order to change the exposure value, you must hold down this button here.

…and then twist the adjustment dial on the top of the camera to adjust the exposure.

The Editing ProcessUsing Photomatix Pro 5

I imported the photographs that I took into the program. I then pressed OK.

I then told the software how the images were taken and reduced any digital noise that may have appeared in my photograph (I used ISO100 so this probably wouldn’t be a problem).

The process then took place. Digital noise was removed, pictures were aligned and merged together.

I then selected the effect that I wanted to use on the photograph. I then clicked on the effect that I wanted to apply

for my video.
