Glacier Edge Staff and Students continue the journey to personalize learning. Each student this year has a goal set in Epiphany and they are working on adding evidence to support their work towards this goal.

A group of students and staff participated in the PL kick off event. It was a great turnout and wonderful to see proud children share about all of their hard work!

Our Personalized Learning IT team set a goal to: Increase use and understanding of the learner profile through staff development and communication to families. Many teachers have provided the opportunity for students to make choices aligned with their strengths and to focus on 21st learning skills and dispositions through collaborative projects.

Not all of the seats work for all of the students, but overall it has been a good experience that I recommend. Students also get to choose where they want to sit which has been the biggest challenge for us!”

*All kindergarten and grade ⅘ students completed the Learning Profile to learn more about their learning preferences. Many of them are working with their teachers to develop personal goals in reading and writing and then monitoring their progress toward these goals.

*Gale Chartier’s first graders used Chatterpix to record themselves setting goals.
