OBJECTIVES Perinatal Loss and Bereavement Training will: • Enhance your understanding of perinatal death and its effect on parents and family members • Provide you with the latest evidence-based information about perinatal bereavement care • Help you understand what “normal” grief looks like and how individuals grieve differently • Discuss the role of interdisciplinary teams in caring for bereaved parents and families • Describe how to offer options to families and therapeutic communication techniques • Provide two examples of honoring the relationship between a parent and child • Discuss the role of keepsakes for a family’s grief • Identify self care strategies for caregivers Continental breakfast and registration begins at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided.
