Mother Africa is an ancient, earthy presence on the planet, an experience that will touch your soul deeply and permanently. As the cradle for our human development, she creates life-changing transformation for all who take her into themselves.

This year we are offering our retreat in two parts. Part one is a nine-day pilgrimage on the move (April 11-19) with Brad in the northeast corner of South Africa, journeying to and exploring places of great spiritual power and natural beauty, including: the Garonga Safari Camp, an exclusive camp in the greater Makalali Conservancy situated west of the Kruger National Park; Adam’s Calendar with its mysterious, ancient stone calendric alignments; and the Global White Lion Protection Trust (GWLPT), founded by our friends, Linda Tucker and Jason Turner. Part two of the retreat (April 19-26) is an

“immersion” retreat with both Leslie and Brad at the Blyde River Canyon, one of South Africa’s natural wonders, a

power center with breathtaking views.

Both parts of the retreat are open to all Brazilian and English-speaking CoreLight students (Spiritual Warrior and Enhanced Self-Discovery) and graduates. Each retreat will offer a complete translation between English and Portuguese. You are invited to attend either or both parts.

The South African lowveld is an extraordinary place, unique in all the world, where the virgin bush is so vast and untamed that there are more animals than people. In this energy there are not many thought forms, and this fosters deep and profound meditation and a great relaxation of the mind, body and spirit. One can let go into the enormity of the inner and outer landscape and experience the mystical nature of the land and animals. It is difficult to describe and should rather be experienced. We like to call it the African dreamtime.

Entering into the African dreamtime is a dissolution of the separate mind and an awakening of inner silence, unity and interconnectedness with the web of life. We perceive this to be one of the great

gifts that Mother Africa offers to visitors from the Western world. Those who come for this experience are brought to their inner core of stillness, reconnected with something so ancient and primeval within themselves that they can never be the same again. We invite you to watch Brad’s short and inspiring meditation video for a taste of the African dreamtime experience.

G a r on g a L o d g e Considered one of the leading pioneers in ecotourism in South Africa, Makalali Conservancy is home to over one thousand wild animals including Africa’s big five.

Luxurious Garonga Safari Camp provides a unique experience to learn about a world-first conservation program of African Elephant Immuno-contraception conducted by our dear friend Audrey Delsink (known as Auds). Auds, who is the resident research ecologist at the Greater Makalali Private Game Reserve and the Humane Society International Field Director, will join us to share her profound knowledge of her beloved elephants and the

groundbreaking work being done throughout South Africa to create a new paradigm for elephant management. We are incredibly blessed to experience first-hand Auds’ intimate relationship with this large herd of elephants. We have extraordinary elephant encounters because they trust her so deeply—a rare privilege indeed!

You can check out Brad’s interview of Auds Delsink (and meet the ellies!) in this Elephant Contraception video. (Short version here.)

We will have a private, restful experience at Garonga, which is an exclusive luxury camp amidst vast, pristine bushveld. Garonga features a holistic philosophy that offers a safari for the soul, an unhurried and intimate wildlife encounter, a time to reflect and find inspiration in nature.

Delicious gourmet meals are served in a beautifully appointed dining room or outside under the starry African sky. Spend the afternoon relaxing beside the pool or watching the game from your private deck before being whisked away on a late afternoon safari in an open game-drive vehicle.

See more photos of Garonga here.

a D AM ’ s c a l e n d a rOur pilgrimage includes a visit to Adam’s Calendar, one of the ancient ruins that form part of a mysterious civilization that created a vast network of structures throughout Southern Africa—known

as the “Temples of the gods”. About 20,000 of these ancient structures are spread over 4,000 kilometers from Kenya to South Africa. Intricate Reiki symbols and Phi ratios make up the structure of some ruins which contain stones of black reef shale; when struck together, these stones make a ringing sound and are believed to have been used to generate energy for use by the ancient people.

Adam’s Calendar is the oldest archeo-astronomical site on Earth and is believed to be the original birthplace of humanity. Dated 75,000 years old, this stone calendar predates all other man-made structures found to date. During our visit to this area, you will learn the significance of its siting above Lulungwa Mangakatsi—Africa’s legendary underground river, the spinal fluid of Earth—and its association with gold.

Here we will take time to meditate, receive an initiation, absorb the energetic gifts of this extraordinary sacred site, and offer our prayers in sacred ceremony.

W h i t e L i onsWe will spend three nights at the Global White Lion Protection Trust (GWLPT), founded by our friends, Linda Tucker and Jason Turner. The rare, endangered white lion (not albino) is revered by native Africans as the most sacred of all animals.

The GWLPT’s mission is to protect white lions, which are at great risk from aggressive speed-breeding programs and trophy hunting, and to help preserve the indigenous knowledge that holds them sacred. CoreLight and Seeds of Light have supported the GWLPT’s successful reintroduction program, returning these majestic beings to their

endemic range of Timbavati. We have worked for several years in collaboration with the GWLPT on many projects in the surrounding area. We will have the opportunity to meet and experience these extraordinary, sacred beings in their natural habitat.

It is difficult to capture in words the profound

spiritual experience of being with the white lions and sleeping on their hallowed lands. Watch Leslie and Andrew Harvey in the video, "Star Beings of Africa: The White Lions of Timbavati", which better captures the mystery and magic of the white lions, as well cats in general—big and small.

I m me rs i on Re t re a t with Leslie and Brad April 19-26The second part of our retreat, April 19-26, is an Immersion Retreat with Leslie and Brad. An Immersion Retreat in South Africa is an especially powerful, spiritual experience because we not only immerse ourselves the majority of the time in meditation, egoic clearing work, discussion and periods of deep silence, but we also receive the power and grace of the land and animals there. As we meditate and process together, offering up the resulting shifts in consciousness to the collective mind, our gesture is more than reciprocated by the powerful grounding transmission offered by Mother Africa. As Leslie puts it, “The darshan of the land is so strong, I feel like I’m just along for the ride.” Africa always leaves her indelible imprint on us, and we all leave a piece of our hearts with her.

B l y d e R i v e r C a n y on L o d g eWe will be based at the exquisitely beautiful Blyde River Canyon Lodge. The lodge is in the Blyde River Botanical Reserve, which is the home of CoreLight’s center at the mouth of the spectacular Blyde River Canyon. We are near the small town of Hoedspruit, in Limpopo Province.

Our unique and beautiful neighborhood is a gated community in natural bushveld that contains many forms of indigenous flora and fauna, such as: zebra, impala, wildebeest, bushbuck, duiker, kudu, baboons, monkeys, and an enormous variety of birds. We never get tired of watching the zebra, bushbuck and impala coming into our garden to eat the grass and flowers!

The Blyde River, which translates as Joy River in Afrikaans (a Dutch-derived language), runs through the neighborhood.

Our daily meditation, processing and discussion sessions together will be at Leslie and Brad’s home, a short 5-10 minute walk from the lodge, down a quiet country lane. Here we experience the profound

energies of the sacred mountain, Modimolle, which means God is here in the local Shangaani language. This mountain gives a powerful transmission of primordial earth energy and can lift someone’s meditation practice to new heights.

Page 7: The AfricaN Dreamtime Pilgrimage and immersion … AfricaN Dreamtime Pilgrimage and immersion retreat ... as the “Temples of the gods”. ... The AfricaN Dreamtime Pilgrimage and

The mountain Modimolle is situated on Lulungwa Mangakatsi, also known as the Nilotic meridian, which runs north from the canyon into Egypt and through the Great Pyramid and Sphinx on the Giza plateau. This meridian is one of the foremost meridians within the subtle body of the earth and in fact is the axis mundi of the world. The meridian itself is about 35 miles wide and is seen psychically as a great river of golden light and energy stretching between southern and northern Africa. There are

underground caches of the precious metal gold in the earth located along much of the meridian. Being in that energy is profoundly transformative and uplifting in body, mind and spirit.

See d s o f L i g h tSeeds of Light is CoreLight’s humanitarian arm. We will take an excursion one morning or afternoon to visit one of Seeds of Light’s projects in rural Acornhoek, one of the South Africa’s poverty nodes, where approximately 1 in 3 people is HIV+ and where there is 70% unemployment. Seeds of Light helped build and start the Ekurhuleni (“Place of Peace”) Center for Orphans and Vulnerable Children and assists several local schools there with wells, gardens and more. For example at the last two retreats, we visited the orphan center, threw an ice cream party for the children (who had never eaten ice cream before!), and laughed and played games with them.

We will introduce you to some of our courageous and warmhearted friends in Acornhoek, who are helping us to bring empowerment and sustainability to the area. You will have a rare, intimate experience of this rural village, where despite the suffering, many people shine with a beautiful light, offering hope and brightness in an otherwise very dark situation.

B l y d e R i v e r C a n y onWe will take in the exquisite natural beauty of the Blyde River Canyon in two ways: One will be to drive along the rim of the canyon and to gaze and meditate at a scenic lookout called “The Three Rondavels”, which offers spectacular views. Another is to enjoy a peaceful boat ride on the dam, where we will see breathtaking waterfalls, landscapes and extraordinary natural rock formations, as well as meditate in the silence and stillness of the canyon’s profound energetic vortex. These excursions are part of the integration time needed during our immersion retreat and feed us in a powerful way.

P u r p o seWe offer this retreat in the spirit of service to the Earth, to higher consciousness and to our own spiritual growth. We journey not only to drink in and appreciate the exquisite natural beauty and spiritual power of Mother Africa, but also to ascend in consciousness, to serve and to give something back. The purpose of the journey is not to indulge in having a party; however, we will have fun and our experiences will certainly bring great joy, happiness and relaxation. Thank you for joining us with the intention to serve, to grow spiritually and to experience great joy!

L o g i st i c s The retreat is offered in two parts, and CoreLight students and graduates are invited to attend either or both parts. The cost for the retreat includes all ground transportation, lodging and food—but does not include airfare, beverages and personal items (such as laundry). O t he rThe time we are in retreat is early fall. We can expect beautiful warm weather with occasional showers. After we receive your registration and deposit, we will send you further information about what to bring, flight schedule, etc.

To attend the retreat you will be required to purchase travel medical insurance, including “medical evacuation” insurance with a minimum deductible of $100,000 USD. (This can typically be purchased for approximately $100 USD.)

I t i n e r a r yTuesday April 11 ~ For those who are participating in the tour, you will be met on arrival in Johannesburg by Brad and Stuart and taken to Old Joe’s Kaia, situated in Schoemanskloof. This rustic guesthouse will be our home for the next two nights as guests of Paul and Marianne (who is renowned for her organic cooking) and our base for a visit to Adam’s Calendar.

Wednesday April 12 ~ Visit the ancient ruins of Adam’s Calendar where we explore its mysteries, meditate and participate in ceremony.

Thursday April 13 ~ Check out of Old Joe’s Kaia after breakfast and travel along the beautiful panorama route to the Makalali Conservancy for a three-day safari at one of South Africa’s classic camps, Garonga. We take a sunset game drive in open-air game drive vehicles with experienced guides who introduce us to a whole new world of bush lore and animal habits. Return to your lodge in time for dinner. Dining at Garonga is very casual and relaxed with the emphasis on mouth-watering cuisine.

Friday-Saturday April 14-15 ~ The program at luxurious and exquisite Garonga will include dawn and sunset game drives each day to view the array of animals in the reserve. Our friend Auds Delsink, who runs the elephant immune-contraception program, will join us occasionally to share her extraordinary wisdom and stories.

Sunday-Tuesday April 16-18 ~ We depart Garonga after a leisurely breakfast for the White Lion Trust in Timbavati for a three-day adventure with Linda Tucker and her partner, Jason Turner, for an experience of Africa’s most sacred animal—the white lions. Predicted by African shamans to appear at this critical time, the white lions carry an important message for humankind. In addition to dawn and sunset game drives to view the white lions in the natural habitat, our itinerary includes presentations by Jason and Linda charting the ancient Egyptian links between Timbavati and the great Sphinx of Giza

Wednesday April 19 ~ After breakfast depart the White Lion camp. Leisurely 45-minute drive to beautiful Blyde River Canyon Lodge where we settle in and relax for the day prior to the beginning of the Immersion Retreat with Leslie and Brad.

Wednesday April 19 – Wednesday April 26 ~ Immersion Retreat with Leslie and Brad at Blyde River Canyon. In addition to meditation, egoic clearing work, discussion and periods of deep silence, the retreat includes three excursions: meditation at Blyde River Canyon rim, boat ride on the Blyde River Canyon dam and visit to Ekurhuleni Center for Orphans and Vulnerable Children. Retreat begins with dinner on April 19, and ends after breakfast on April 26. (If you are attending only the immersion retreat, please do not book your flights until we send you specific details after registration.)
