We provide many opportunities to you, your Family and friends to discover the wonders of living in Europe. As an ID card holder you can travel with us and invite guests as long as they are registered on the access roster of both Rose Barracks and Grafenwoehr at least 72 hours prior to the trip. The majority of our trips include a walking city tour for a time varying from 1.5 to 2.5 hours, it is advised to wear comfortable shoes. Please ask for details before booking the trip. Let us know in advance if a member of your party has special needs. We will be glad to assist in any way possible to make your experience wonderful and as smooth as possible. Our staff will be happy to answer your questions about trips and provide you with detailed itineraries.

Please Note that Leisure Travel Services trip assistants are required to ask for your passport before boarding the bus, as per European law in case of police check.- Keep receipts of your purchases abroad for Customs officers checking.- Keep some cash with you at all times as ATM machines are not availableeverywhere in Europe.

Day Trip Refund Policy - Cancellation up to three working days prior to trip: 100 % refund - Cancellation two working days prior to trip: 50 % refund - Cancellation one working day prior to, or day of trip: No refund

Overnight Refund Policy-A deposit of $100 per child and/or $150 per adult is required upon enrollment. -30 days prior to the trip’s departure date: A minimum of 50% of the trip cost is required. Deposit is not refundable due to contractual obligations with the hotels and other agencies.- 14 days prior to the trip’s departure date: Remaining balance of the trip cost is required.-Cancellation up to 31 days prior to the trip’s departure date: A full refund will be received unless otherwise indicated.-Cancellation from 30 days to the trip’s departure date: The amount refunded depends on the specific hotel’s cancellation policy. The administration fee of $150 deposit per adult will not be refunded, unless the cancellation reason is supported by documentation that is signed by a commanding officer or physician. At this point, customers will only receive refunds if their balance paid exceeds the obligation to our contractors. Only the fees paid exceeding our costs will be refunded. -Soldiers should try to have leave forms approved prior to the cancellation date. This is one month prior to the trip’s departure date.- If staff cancels the trip, all customers providing their original registration receipt will receive a full refund.- LTS reserves the right to forfeit any reservation that does not pay the balances due, at the specified times prior to the trip’s departure date, as stated above.

Rentals -Rentals (ski equipment, canopies, barbecues, tents…) must be paid in full by time of pick-up.- A late fee will be charged if the item is returned late and without notice at the following rate:1 day late: 1 day fee, 2 days late: 1 weekend fee, 3 days late or more: 1 week’s fee minimum.

BERlIN May 11, June 8, July 13, August 10, September 14Berlin has weathered through turmoil and prosperity; both which have left their visible marks. The trip includes a few hours of free time to sightsee, transportation to Berlin and a 3-hour bus tour of some of the significant historical sites of the city: the Brandenburg Gate, the Berlin Wall memorial site and Checkpoint Charlie. Black FOREST May 25The Black Forest is renowned for the famous hand carved Cuckoo Clocks that originated here. We will be visiting the city of Triberg. Here you can see the largest waterfall in Germany, visit a museum and shop for the cuckoo or grandfather clock of your choice. You may also just want to roam around and absorb the beautiful country side. Bring your VAT form if you are planning to buy a cuckoo clock. chIEMSEE caSTlEMay 12, June 16, August 18, September 15Whether you’re already a fan of King Ludwig’s castles, or if this will be your first chance to catch a glimpse at his amazing architectural work, the Chiemsee Castle is definitely one worth going to! The bus will drop you at the port. There you can opt for one of 3 tour packages, with a cost ranging from 5-20 Euros per person. Dachau/MuNIch NaTIONal MuSEuMApril 21, May 12, July 14Tour the historic Dachau Concentration Camp memorial site. The main camp was comprised of the actual prisoners’ camp, the SS area and various subsidiary camps. The subsidiary camps consisted of the so-called plantation, the shooting range at Hebertshausen and the burial grounds for the concentration camp prisoners. After visiting the concentration camp, we continue on to Munich. We drop you off at the Munich National Museum, the largest technological museum in the world. Adult entry into the museum is an additional amount of approximately 8.50 Euro. Estimated return time is 8 p.m. Prices: $49 per adult, $39 per child (3 -12), $10 per child under 3. Departure: 6 a.m. from Rose Barracks and 6:30 a.m. from Grafenwoehr. EaGlE’S NEST aND SalT MINESJuly 27The Eagle’s Nest is the famous retreat of Hitler. It is a lovely chateau located at the crest of a mountain in the Bavarian Alps. Our bus must park at the base of the mountain and we take the local bus up to the elevator to the Eagle’s Nest. The local bus cost is around 16 Euro per person. After departing the Eagle’s Nest we travel to the salt mines located on the Austrian border. Tourists will be issued traditional salt worker uniforms and taken into the tunnels. The cost of the salt mines tour is an additional 16 Euro per adult and 10 Euro per child. It has both an adventure land as well as a water park. The rides in each region stay true to the culture of that country while offering a bit of whimsy. kalTENBERG MEDIEval FESTIval July 14, 21 & 28This annual festival offers a day of fun and excitement for the entire family. Throughout the fest grounds actors will demonstrate periodic skills and shows to enchant the crowd. Various tradesmen are selling merchandises of the time period. Great food is available for purchase throughout the festival. Don’t miss the grand parade which culminates at 1 p.m. each day, with the joust performance to top off the adventure! MuNIch zOOJune 9The Munich Zoo is the largest Zoo in Europe with over 14,800 animals and 665 species in an area of 90 acres. The zoo has a children’s playground and petting zoo. In the petting zoo there are small animals and ponies for the children to ride for an extra fee. Please be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Feel free to bring food, snacks, and drinks to have a picnic while in the zoo. You can also purchase meals and snacks throughout the zoo. You really must see this beautiful city rebuilt in the 17th Century by Italian baroque masters after a devastating town fire. Also fascinating is the natural spectacle of the joining of the three rivers: Danube, Inn and Ilz. Enjoy a trip on the river and see the unique landscape. REGENSBuRG/PaSSau DaNuBE RIvER cRuISE August 25We leave for Regensburg in the morning and on our boat ride down to Passau there will be various unforgettable sights that leave an impression. You will see the entrance to the Danube Canal, which was opened in 1992. From the Danube River you have a beautiful view to the “Wallhalla”, the Woerth Castle, the Gäubodenstadt Straubing, and much more. It takes about 20 minutes to get down to the lower water level and the ship can move out of the locks. Enjoy this small journey and admire the beautiful views down the Danube River. If you have seen Steven Spielberg’s Oscar-winning movie Schindler’s List, you will recognize many of the film’s locations as you walk around Kazimierz. Budapest is famous for its Jewish quarter, Heroes’ square, Royal Palace, the Raul Wallenberg Garden with the Holocaust Memorial, Castle Hill and Fisherman’s Bastion, Turkish Baths, St. Stephen’s Basilica, The Dohany Street Synagogue, the Opera House and the Chain Bridge. cavING Day TRIPSMay 18, July 13A tour of this cave begins with rappelling into the mouth of the cave. We use climbing gear to negotiate the ups and downs of this cave system. This cave is one of the largest underground cave systems in our area. Price: $35. hIkING Day TRIP TO ThE “DOGGERwERk”August 3See the massive entry doors to the former Nazi underground airplane manufacturing plant. In early spring, interested hunters submit their applications to vie for a permit. To enter the Lottery you must be in possession of a valid hunting license on the day of the drawing and assigned to USAG Grafenwoehr. Our air rifles are competition grade with the feel of a high power rifle. A typical session consists of gun handling & safety, target shooting, skills practice, target shooting games, competitions and even a mini biathlon. We have three sizes of bows to fit ages five to adult. You’ll learn the correct way to notch and draw back a bow. It’s amazing how quickly you’ll be hitting the center of the targets. Kean’s Lodge Group LodgingSitting above the Artillery Kaserne on the Kramer Mountain, the Kean’s Lodge isa rustic bunkhouse with extensive grounds.The Lodge is heated and has a large common room with a fireplace for 50 people to sit together. The sleeping arrangement is a “bunk house” style room with three-tiered mattress rows, much like the “Lagerbetts” found in alpine huts with bed spaces for 54 persons. Join the Klettersteig climb up to the largest waterfall in Tirol. Overnight stay will be in “Pension style” accommodations. Participants must be in good overall shape, must be able to swim and must be at least 14 years of age to participate.
