DESCRIPTION

The Partnership Scholarship Project ("Dự án Học bổng Đồng Hành Đến Giảng Đường" in Vietnamese) is a non-profit project run by sponsors to support excellent students with socio-economic disadvantaged backgrounds in Vietnam. About the concept, firstly a Partnership Scholarship Award ($100) is directly awarded to each selected high-school student who shall take part in the annual University Entrance Examination at his/her own home. As these scholars are eligible to enroll Universities, they will be continually supported during their student life until graduation and first employment. EMPHASISES & DIFFERENCES

AWARDING SCHOLARSHIPS AT HOME – the sponsors will award the Scholarship to the each qualified student at home with the witness of his/her family;

MENTORSHIP – a professional / successful person will mentor one student from his / her first year at school;

THE BELOVED HOUSE – the accommodation for students where they can also study soft-skills and others;

TRANSPARENT FINANCE – the fund contributed by the Sponsors shall be reported in terms;

SUCCESSION – the students shall serve and contribute to the Project after their graduation and achievement.

PROCESS OF QUALIFICATION

ANNOUNCEMENT

The Board of PYD interviews the selected students directly and make decision on the List of qualified students.

EVALUATIONThe Board of PYD evaluates the students’ profiles in accordance with the Scholarship Standard and reference of the local volunteers and

authorities.

REGISTRATIONThe Board of High School (after collecting and checking students’ profiles) sends a short list of students with relevant documents to The

Beloved House – the Head Office of the Project

SCHOLARS’ BASIC STANDARDS

Having good performance in education (with the confirmation of the Board of School): students from the “FAIR” grade; national-level students or students whose average score of 3 UEE subjects is from 8.0;

Having disadvantaged backgrounds or difficulties in finance (with the confirmation of local authority);

Submitting the application for Entrance Examination to one of the top universities in Ho Chi Minh City; and

Having hand-written letter to show his/her passion to succeed

2nd until graduation

THE BELOVED HOUSE

The Beloved House is the accommodation

for first year students of PYD and other poor students in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, at which

the volunteers come to train, coach and support them also.

Attorney Nguyen Van Loc is legal professional in advice consultancy and dispute resolution in the fields of business, commerce and investment. Attorney Loc is currently a Partner of Ha Hai & Partners Law Firm, Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association. Attorney Loc is also involved as a lecturer in courses of business laws for enterprise managers.

Attorney Loc is the founder and the CEO of PYD – the term of 2013 – 2017.
