ORGANISING COMMITTEE

The Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand is hosting the 23rd Biennial International Clean Air and Environment Conference on the 15 - 18 October 2017 at Pullman Brisbane, King George Square. On Sunday, 15 October 2017 there will be specialist workshops followed by the main conference, 16 - 18 October 2017.

CASANZ 2017 will embrace the theme of The Critical Atmosphere. The widely accepted concern over the effects of climate change on human health and wellbeing demands that we understand more about the physical and chemical processes underlying air quality, their effects on human health and welfare, and our capacity to effectively control and regulate air pollution. We hope to stimulate new ideas and tools that can be applied across the air quality and climate change fields by bringing together invited international and local speakers, papers, posters and exhibits to provide delegates with ample opportunities for innovative and exciting new partnership options.

As part of the 2017 CASANZ conference we have developed a range of partnership opportunities to meet a range of budgets and exhibition areas to promote the latest air quality and climate change information and equipment.

If your organisation promotes better air quality and action on climate change there is no better way to show your support and interest to delegates than by partnering and/or exhibiting at CASANZ 2017. Partnership and exhibition opportunities will:

» Raise your profile to a national and international audience

» Reinforce your credentials as a key player

» Stimulate discussion

» Publicise your activities and promote your company or brand

» Showcase your products or services

» Reinforce relationships with existing clients and develop newcontacts and clients

Promotion of the conference has commenced and will continue through 2016 and 2017. It will include:

» CASANZ 2017 conference website – providing up to dateinformation and promotion of the Conference, along withacknowledgement of partners and exhibitors

» Direct marketing of the conference via email campaigns andthe registration brochure

» Promotion and advertising in the CASANZ journal andnewsletters as well alerts on allied websites.

The Organising Committee’s goals are to acknowledge your support of the conference at every possible opportunity and to ensure that your organisation’s conference expectations are met.

We invite you to look at the partnership and exhibition prospectus and to discuss with us how we might be able to further assist your organisation.

CASANZ MISSION

CASANZ is an association of members who have a professional interest in Air Quality. We aim to share knowledge and learning and provide an opportunity to connect and build on collective knowledge.

CASANZ VISION

The Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ) brings together people with an interest in environmental science and management with particular reference to air quality, climate change, and related issues. The Society promotes the protection of the environment and has over 550 members, with a demographic predominately from within Australia and New Zealand, but also extends to various parts of the world. The Society is a non-government, non-profit Organisation.

The objectives of the Society are to promote the protection of the environment, through advancement of knowledge and practical experience of environmental and air quality science and management. CASANZ is an organisation which gathers and distributes the experience and knowledge of its members, to benefit society members and the public.

CASANZ provides industry specific training, workshops, webinars, technical meetings and Conferences as a forum to expand knowledge of environmental matters, especially air quality, including causes, effects, measurement, legislative aspects and control of pollution.

We publish a quarterly scientific based journal: Air Quality and Climate Change, for the benefit of members and the public and present the Clean Air Award annually, recognising individuals and organisations in the air quality industry who make a significant contribution to achieving improvements in the quality of the air environment.

CASANZ also provide student awards and occasional scholarships.

CERTIFIED AIR QUALITY PROFESSIONAL (CAQP)

CASANZ is proud to have introduced Australasia’s only certification program, specifically for air quality professionals; the Certified Air Quality Professional (CAQP).

Accreditation as a CAQP member recognises expertise, professional achievements, integrity, and a commitment to excellence in maintaining and developing knowledge and skills as an air quality professional through the Continuing Professional Development program.

The program enables CASANZ to formally recognise members for their professional expertise and ethical conduct. It raises the profile of air quality professionals amongst industry, research, government, academia, and the community.

Certified Air Quality Professionals champion CASANZ’s vision of Healthy Air For All – promoting science; advancing knowledge; engaging community.

CONFERENCE ORGANISERS

Congratulations CASANZ 2015 on your highly successful conference.

I enjoyed listening to the keynote speakers each day. There were a lot of interesting presentations and it was a very good opportunity to network and find out what everyone else is doing.

Interesting and varied keynote presentations, particularly Sarah Henderson and Simon Birkett.

Excellent networking opportunity for the “air” community.

Over 94% of attendees expectations were fulfilled
