Name: Lawren Harris Name Of The Art: Ice Bergs When Art Was Done: 1930 Elements Of Art Used: Lawren used geometric shapes for the ice berg, form to make it three dimensional, and value to give it depth. Media Used: Oil paints. Subject: It’s a ice berg in the artic ocean. Opinion: This painting in particular makes me feel kind of lonely, and dark. Its very intense and bold, and its depressing and sad to look at.

When The Art Was Done: 1923 Elements Of Art: The shapes Lawren used both geometric and organic, he also used form to make the rocks, house, and hills three dimensional. He used lines for the clouds and sea, and again value for the depth. Media: Oil paints. Subject: The painting is of a cottage in Canada just off of Lake Superior. Emotion And Opinion: The painting make me still feel alone, but happy feeling inside because its bright.

Name Of The Artist: Helen MacNicoll Name Of The Art: The Foot Brigde, Venice. When Was The Art Done: 1915 Elements Of Art: Helen used lots of lines in this painting for the water and bridge, she also used form to make it look three dimensional. The last one she used was texture to make the water look real. Media: Oil paints. Subject: A bridge in Venice with people crossing it. Emotion And Opinion: I really like this picture and it looks happy and cheerful to me. I love how bright it is as well.

Name Of The Artist: Helen MacNicoll Name Of The Art: Cherry Time When Was The Art Done: 1915 Elements Of Art: Texture was one thing she used a lot to make the grass look real and same with the dresses, she also used space to take up a lot of the picture, and lines for all the blades of grass. Media: Oil paints. Subject: Here Helen is showing two sisters having a tea party in the summer. Emotion And Opinion: I again really like how bright and happy looking this picture is, and in a way it sort of makes the picture look friendly.

Name Of The Artist: Ross Penhall Name Of The Art: Red Hedge Row When Was The Art Done: 2009 Elements Of Art: Value because of the shadows of the bushes, texture because it looks as though you could touch the trees and there real, and the shapes that he uses here are very organic. Media: Oil paints. Subject: Here he has painted autumn trees with a very bright sky. Emotion And Opinion: I love this painting and how plain but detailed it looks.

Name Of The Artist: Ross Penhall Name Of The Art: On the Field When The Art Was Done: 2007 Elements Of Art: The elements of art that were used are, lots of organic shapes, space, because the picture is set far back and also form because the clouds look three dimensional. Media: Oil paint. Subject: This painting is of a field with trees and it almost looks like its on golf course or something flat. Emotion And Opinion: I loved the greens in the photo as well as how set back the painting is.
