I have been at the helm of our Pacif ic Resort canoe for over 10 years and a considerable number of my crew have been paddling for us for much longer. Getting Married in the Cook Islands

The Cook Islands have a relatively relaxed policy allowing international citizens to be legally married. After appyling for a wedding licence on any weekday, the couple are required to reside in the Cook Islands for a further 3 working days prior to the wedding ceremony. If this is not possible, the process can be expedited by

applying for a waiver which still requires one full working day prior to the wedding ceremony. The couple are also required to produce their birth certif icates (in English), passports and any ‘decree absolute’ (divorce documents).
