SELF PORTRAIT
• Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born in Málaga (Spain) in 1881.
• He attended the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona.
• He painted his first work at the age of 8.
• He spent most of his life in France were he died in 1973 at the age of 91.
There were four periods in Picasso´s art works.
• Blue period• In his first stage he was sad so his paintings were in bleu. He also
used purple and black.
• Rose Period• In this period he was happier and he painted clowns and circuses. He
used brighter colours.
• Black Period• He was inspired in african works.
• Cubism• He uses geometric figures to represent the different forms of nature.
• Ceramics• He was also a ceramicist, a sculptor and a print maker.
