Sandra de Ovando’s passion for flowers began not only with their aesthetic beauty, but also with their exquisite scents.

Each masterful fragrance from Sandra ’s collection, “Recuerdos de Mexico,” takes you on a sensory journey of her memories, combining purity and luxury to offer you blissful escape.

2

Posada is tenderly reminiscent of Mexico’s 9-day celebration originally derived in honor of the winter solstice and the god of the sun. The alluring raspberry oud wood fragrance, accented with notes of lavender, rose, and vanilla, evokes images of the festivals in the streets of Mexico, cherished by Sandra and her family.

Top Note: cinnamon, raspberry |Mid Note: oud wood, lavender, rose | Base Note: patchouli, tonka beans, vanilla

Rosa Mexicana is inspired by Sandra’s childhood when she spent weekends gardening with her mother, endlessly intrigued by the ever seductive Mexican rose. The sumptuous Rose fragrance, accented with robust notes of patchouli, black currant and grapefruit, embodies the enigmatic beauty of Sandra’s beloved flower.

Dia de Campo, or “Day in the fields,” boasts beautifully balanced notes of bergamot, fig, violet leaves and bamboo, evoking a sense of rapturous escape into the stunning countryside of Mexico. Indeed, Sandra’s weekend getaways were often spent picnicking with friends amid the wondrously bucolic vistas of her beloved country.

Cascadas de Agua Azul is a truly paradisiacal place, celebrated for its mesmerizing blue waters as well as the intoxicating fragrances of the surrounding florals. The crisp fragrance of jasmine, sandalwood and coconut, blended with vetiver and watermelon accents, transports Sandra to this place of unparalleled beauty.

Pisca celebrates the harvest of the cacao bean, known as the “food of the gods” in Aztec culture and embraced for its aphrodisiacal qualities. The rich blend of cacao, coconut, juniper berries, black amber and vetiver oil is equally as invigorating as it is sensuously soothing… just like chocolate, indeed Sandra’s favorite sweet.

Xochimilco, called the "Place of flowers" by the Aztecs, remembers the rich history of Xochimilco Lake, once surrounded by a vast expanse of fertile gardens. The deliciously ambrosial notes of red currant, peach and praline, accented with hints of geranium & eucalyptus, conjure images of the celebrated waterway, today transformed into a maze of canals where Sandra and friends gathered for afternoon picnics.
