Out Of The Abundance Of The Coronary Heart The Mouth Speaks!

A good man out of the good treasure of their heart brings forth great ; and an evil guy out the evil

treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth area speaks.

Luke six :45

The New Living interpretation says: "Whatever is in your heart determines that which you say."

It is a curious thing how someone can learn something, live it and then fall away from it. I've been

recently reminded by the lord of a basic spiritual law that I once knew well, lived it and even taught it,

but had somehow mostly fallen away from this. Our words have energy ; what we say is extremely

important. What comes out of our mouths is an indicator of what is in our hearts.

Matthew 12:37 says, "For because of your words you will be justified, by your words you will be

condemned." How many of us are, knowingly or unknowingly, condemning ourself by our words?

My faith took a nosedive after a traumatic experience which happened several years ago. It has been

quite a long time in the reconstruction of my personal faith, with many times on the way bemoaning

ever getting back to the area of strong faith in which I once resided. During this repairing, things that

were absolutes as well as 'givens' were doubted and questioned, and sometimes abandoned. The

importance of keeping a watch more than my words was some of those things that went by the

wayside. A fatalistic attitude associated with que sera sera, whatever happens happens, took over in

my personal heart, even though I understood better. Yet, whenever i would hear a sermon about the

importance of choosing life or even the magnitude of our words, my personal spirit would leap.

Listening to truth does that to your spirit!

Recently, God has been showing me - once again - the basics of talking His will, His wish and His

words. I am not talking about the new-age law of attraction or the secular power of good thinking; I

am speaking about the term of God and how we are to choose the thoughts we're to entertain and the

words that flow from our minds and out our mouths. A few examples:

I 'm so tired lately. Instead say, "My youngsters is renewed like the silver eagles !" (Psalm 103:5)

My back is killing me personally. Instead say, "i'm so glad God strengthens me!" (Psalm 89:twenty

one )

We can't afford it. Instead say, "God is actually our provider and He fulfills all our needs!" (Philippians

four :19)

Nothing good ever happens to me. say instead, "It may look poor, but my future is actually bright!"

(Jeremiah 29:11 )

Every time I try to get it done I screw it up. Instead say, "I may didn't work before but I can do all

things through Christ." (Proverbs 24:16 and Philippians 4:13)

I can't remember a thing. state instead, "My mind is sharp and clear because i've the mind of Christ!"

(one Corinthians 2:16)

It just about scared me to death. Instead state, "I was scared." No need to add anything to it to get

your own point across! (Matthew 5:thirty seven )

Since what comes out of our hearts is what is stored in there, it is crucial that we fill our hearts with

what he has to say, which comes through spending time with Him and his word. He tells us clearly :

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; hole them around your neck of the guitar, write them on the

tablet of your heart, and so discover favor and high confidence in the sight of lord and man. Proverbs

three :3-4

I am grateful that the Spirit of the Lord quickens to us the word as well as reminds us of what's

needed for life! (John 6 :63) Thank You, Lord! Jeremiah 29
