Getting to Know our Teachers

KIMBERLY KOGON I was born in Bay City, Michigan. When I was 7, we (my parents, brother and I) moved to Florida. I attended school at Our Savior Lutheran. I also attended church, Sunday School, and youth groups here at OSL. I graduated Plantation High School in 1999. I then went to Cosmetology school. I worked as a hair dresser for about 10 years. I then got the wonderful opportunity to be a nanny for my brother’s 3 beautiful children. During this time I met my husband, Jody. We have an adorable, vibrant 4 year old named Lylah Rose. She is a student here in our Pre-k 3 class. When my brother’s children started school, I started working part time in the 18 month class. The next 2 years I was an assistant in VPK, 4 year olds and worked preschool after care. During this time I worked on getting my CDA (Child Development Associates), and I am now a lead VPK teacher.

Father in Heaven, we are starting to learn that You make us wait because You're making us ready. Thank you for taking Your time with us. You are a protective, invested Father, and You know what's best for us. Awaken fresh and bold faith in

us! Help us to trust You in the meantime. When it's all said and done, we know we’ll be glad we trusted You, so let us declare with our whole heart: We trust You now. Our soul waits for You, O Lord.
