Le Lan Huong, F1MBA, Master of online teaching&Nguyen Hong Ha, ACCA, CPA

Huong currently is a professionl trainer and consultant of OrganisationalCapacity Develoment JS Company (OCD). She has obtained a MBA in 2006(Preston University-USA), specialising in human resources management andMaster of Online Teacher (MOT) in 2010 (Illinois University-USA). Huong has18 years working experience in foreign-invested companies in Vietnam includingmore than 8 years with Grant Thornton Vietnam in the role of Office Managerand Training and Development Manager for the last one and half year. As theTraining and Development Manager of an consulting and auditing company, shehas managed many professional training programms for staff including ACCA.She used to be a student member of ACCA for 2 years since 2002 and completedpart I of ACCA program.

Beside the work of management she has also delivered a lot training courses forstudents as well as company staff and managers on human resources managementand soft skills. With broad knowledge on HRM, deep management and trainingexperience Huong will contribute to learners’ success in ACCA F1.

Nguyen Hong Ha, F1

Nguyen Hong Ha officially became a member of the Association of CharteredCertified Accountants in 2007 and Vietnam Association of Certified PublicAccountant (CPA Vietnam) in 2009.

Ha has more than 6 years working experience in Grant Thornton Viet Nam and Ernst& Young with his current position of audit manager. Mr Ha also has extensiveexperience in auditing and consulting services with international accounting firmswith his working experience in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

Hong Ha is also one of Grant Thornton’s internal trainers in charge of auditmethodology and techniques. Given his experience in international audit firm, hiseffective exam techniques and experience in passing ACCA exams, the lecturer willenable students solve ACCA audit & accounting questions effectively with good timemanagement.

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, F2Master of Finance and Acounting, Westminster UniversityCFA level III candidate

Ms. Tuyet Mai obtained a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Financefrom Westminster university in 2008. She was one of the best young lecturers withstrong potential of the Faculty of Finance and Banking belong to Hanoi Foreign Tradeuniversity. In Dec2009 and June2011, she passed level I & II, CFA Program at her firstattempt. Mai has been a visiting lecturer for many local and international trainingprograms giving lectures in management accounting and financial management. Ms.Tuyet Mai is known for a lecturer who is deficated, enthusiastic with creative trainingmethods, and is very detail and clear in her teaching methods. Ms. Do Hong Van became an ACCA member since 2007. She was veryexperienced in teaching and processed extensive practical experiences infinancial accounting. Ms Van has been taking important role as Chiefaccountant or Finance manager at in number of big international organizationsuch as Ford Vietnam (1995-1998), Shell Vietnam (1999-2000).

At the moment she is working for Nghe An Tate and Lyle Group as a ChiefAccountant. Ms.Hong Van was a favorite lecturer of CAT program at FTMSHanoi since 2007.

Nguyen Vu HoangPhD– Laws, Vietnamese Academy of Social Sciences

Dr. Nguyen Vu Hoang has been lecturing at the National Economics University(NEU) since 1995 and is currently Deputy Head, Department of Business Law, Facultyof Law, NEU. In autumn 2004, he became the trainer of International Trade Center-UN CTAD/WTO (Switzerland). In April 2008, he became one of two drafters ofVietnam Arbitration Law 2010. Dr. Hoang was a member of Vietnam LawyerAssociation. His teaching and consultative interests are litigation, internationalarbitration, international maritime law, corporation law, international contract law,international insurance law, international investment law and had wide experience intrade and international commercial law, as well as of international private law.

Dr Hoang was successful author of 5 books in international trade law and internationalbusiness transactions, coauthor of the 7 books and author of over 80 articles oninternational trade law, international business transactions, business law andcomparative law. He has at least 80 citations. His books have always been cited andused as reference textbooks in various universities, libraries; including the book“International blocs and organizations on economic-commerce” has been used asReference Textbook by Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade for teachinginternational integration courses in the entire territory of Vietnam.

A part from his teaching experience, Dr. Hoang was taking roles of local consultant,legal advisors for a number of projects and programs conducted/funded by local andinternational universities and international organization such as the United NationDevelopment Program (UNDP), Japanese Ministry on Trade and Industry (METI),AusAID, … Also, in April 2008, he was one of two drafters of Vietnam ArbitrationLaw 2010 - project funded by Vietnam National Assembly, the United NationsDevelopment Program (UNDP), Support for Trade Acceleration (STAR), the UnitedStates Agency for International Development (USAID).

Gasamboh Baadshah– F5MBAThambu holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Finance from University of Wales and an MBAin Accounting & Finance from Hawaii Pacific University. He is also a graduate of theInstitute of Financial Accountants (UK).

Thambu was the Head of Accounting Programme and full-time Lecturer with MiddlesexUniversity, Dubai Campus and whilst in Malaysia he was lecturing full-time with DublinUniversity (Business School) Malaysian Campus. Thambu has over 19 years of experienceglobally for the ACCA (UK) and CIMA (UK) programmes and he has produced many prize

Kwa Choon Kiat, Rick – F6 (VNM)

ACCA

Rick is a member of the Association of Charter Certified Accountant and also holds anhonors degree with the Oxford Brookes University, majoring in Applied Accounting.

He has more than 7 years of tax experience and currently works in one of the Big 4accounting firms in Vietnam. With his experience, he is able to bring his practicalknowledge into his lessons to facilitate better understanding of the students. Before hearrived to Vietnam in 2007, he had also undertaken lecturing ACCA in one of thewell-established tuition providers in Cambodia.

Lim Teck Chuan (Ivan) achieved the ACCA qualification in 2004 and obtained aBachelor degree from Oxford Brookes university from the UK. He began his career inauditing with a reputable member of an international firm where he gained valuableprofessional and commercial experiences. In addition to the auditing experiences invarious industries and services, Ivan also got lots of experiences in financialaccounting with several largecorporations and public listed companies in Singapore. Mr B.S Mangat, Chairman of FTMS Group of Companies is a Chartered Accountantfrom England and Wales. Also a CPA, he has more than 30 years of experience inaudit and tax and has worked for well known international companies before startingFTMS in 1986. The Group’s business includes training and education, humanresource management, corporate services, publishing and eBusiness. FTMS Group hasoperations in Asia, Africa and Europe. Balbeer is also a CPA in Singapore and acertified public accountant specializing in Business Planning, Mergers andAcquisitions and Joint Ventures. Eliott’s youthful looks belie over 16 years of experience working in internationalfinancial markets in major financial centres around the world. He then decided on acareer change and is now an ACCA member, winning a prize for paper 3.4. He is nowa full-time lecturer, specialising in finance and management accounting papers.

Trang is a member of the Association of Charter Certified Accountant (ACCA) andhold an MBA of the Centre Franco –Vietnamien de Formation à la Gestion (CFVG).Bui Thu Trang was an excellent ACCA student with being Prize winner of 6 ACCApapers 2.4, F7, F9, P2, P3, P4, & P5 and one of 3 top ACCA Affiliates in 2008. Prior to joining Phoenix, he was the General Manager,Corporate Planning of KBB Resources Berhad, a vermicelli manufacturer listed on theMain Board of Bursa Malaysia for 5 years. He also has 7 years of experience inmerchant banking specialising in corporate finance with RHB Sakura MerchantBankers Berhad.

Hua has been lecturing professional qualification programs in Hong Kong andMalaysia since 2003, specialising in Financial Statements Analysis, Equities andPortfolio Management. Robert Moulin, P2FCCA

Robert Moulin brings twenty five years of professional accountancy experience to histeaching. He is a fellow of the A.C.C.A.

After qualifying, he moved into industry from public practice and over the years hasworked in senior finance positions for SME’s and global companies including drinksgroup Bacardi and toy maker Mattel. For the past ten years he’s been advisingbusinesses and training accountants on corporate reporting issues, especially withrespect to International Financial Reporting Standards. Based in the UK, he teaches inAfrica, Eastern Europe and the Middle East as well as in Vietnam.
