Let’s Break the ICE

The session began with an Ice breaking Event – Know Your Partner. Participants had to sit in pairs and introduce their partner, the partner’s similarities & dissimilarities & specify 1 object they would associate their partner with. Inset – Pravin introduces Manoj & Jagadeesh talks about Anjali & Kaushik talks about Karishma

Then followed an opening address by the COO Mr. Neelesh Tungar: His message clearly highlighted the importance of SED becoming a Great Place to Work in alignment with the overall business objective.

DARE TO DREAM – DARE TO ACHIEVE Theme: “SED as a Great Place to Work. How do I see it……..”

This was a Creative Visualization Exercise wherein participants presented in groups SED future in a pictorial form.

Then followed the Parallel Thinking Process Exercise: IDEAS

Each participant had to pen down their creative ideas in Post Its. Once done, all the participants went through all the ideas and selected their Best 3 ideas.

In Just 30 minutes - Dominos can get Pizzas while we can get more than 241 Ideas to make SED

“A Great Place To Work.”

Looks like Manoj is rethinking about his choice idea while Dharmaprakash smiles. Perhaps the idea was very appealing.

Ahhh, right guess. Manoj makes up his mind and identifies one idea.

Inset: Haren (in dark blue) wonders which idea do I choose??? A confused Anjali requests for letting more than 3 choices. Leo (in white shirt) poses for the camera. His idea post its??? Arrree they are in his pockets. Looks like Tripti was the first one to complete the exercise. No wonder why she’s smiling Others are yet making their choice.

Then followed the Best People Practices Exercise – Bingo !!!

Participants had to discuss and capture the best people practices followed in the various project teams @ SED.

Best Practices revolved around Openness in Communications, Professional Support, Collaboration, Caring Culture, Appreciations, Rewards & Recognition, Team Celebrations, Knowledge Sharing and Thanking etc.

Inset: We are talking about Jagadeesh & Tripti. The smiles on their faces indicate they had good no. of best practices to share with each other. While Pravin appears to be in a deep thought. As Karishma & Anjali discuss about their best practices, Leo (behind Anjali) is noting down inputs from Amrita. Manoj & Kekin: Appear very delighted in sharing their best practices.

ACTION AREA PRIORITIZATION & PRESENTATION

The Pre Work Analysis was shared with all the participants Participants were divided in 3 groups Each group had to identify TOP 3 STRENGTHS & TOP 3 FOCUS AREAS

Each group had to identify the root causes of the concern areas Success Statement & Action Ideas for implementation were devised.

Inset – Long debates and discussions. Leo, Jagadeesh, Anjali & Dharmaprakash define the success statement and the implementation plan of the action item identified for their group. Kaushik, Karishma & Manoj in the process of finalizing an Action Plan most suited for implementation and also in alignment with the overall business objective. Haren, Tripti, Pravin, Amrita & Kekin devising SMART Goals.

We entered the Workshop with many expectations – Understanding the Top Management’s expectations , GPTW Model and its Implementation,

SMART action plans etc etc.

And what did we take away???

I could sense the seriousness of taking forward this initiative by HR. I saw team spirit from every mmber of the group. I feel motivated to strengthen this group and its vision further. – Manoj Karam

- Productivity in an informal setup is really high > We discussed Action Plans to make SED a GPTW and we have a better picture & action plan to work on - Karishma

The processes of how to take forward the suggestions / concerns & make SED a GPTW were well defined in this workshop – B V Dharma Prakash

Good Team Work by the group participants. This has lead to identifying the Action Areas & also the Action Items for implementation. – Jagadeesh

Good to see more than 240 ideas coming out in a span of Just 30 Mins. Neelesh’s speech was very encouraging. My biggest takeaway from this workshop – “We need to provoke our mind & constantly challenge it to get the best out it” – Haren Parekh

This workshop gave us a better clarity as far as issues related to GPTW & the expectations from the FORT team are concerned. This helped us devise action plans effectively. – Kekin Gala

The team worked with a great seriousness. I feel the Action Items devised would surely make SED a GPTW. – Tripti

This workshop gave me a general idea on how to how to align the GPTW aspects with the business goals. – Anjali N S

implementation via brainstorming Collating all the Action Plans & preparing the final draft for

Organizing CHAI TIME between COO & GPTW Team Members

Identifying Best People Practices across teams in SED
