Who we are With facilities in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, AGRF is Australia’s largest genomics service provider. Along with our state-of-the-art facilities and technologies, we also offer scientific and technical expertise in consultation with users of our services.

As a key enabler of genomic innovation and development, we deliver a unique breadth of services across the entire biological spectrum to over three thousand users spanning academia, industrial and other commercial sectors.

What we do We help our customers accelerate life sciences research, solve challenges, improve diagnostics, develop new products and refine processes to increase productivity. We help bridge the gap between research and the needs of commerce. We work with clients from industries such as; medicine, healthcare, agriculture, bio-products, environment, food, water, energy and mining sectors. Our core business units consist of:

Project design and advice DNA Extraction DNA and RNA sequencing Genotyping Bioinformatics analysis.

Uncovering Insights We support the entire innovation pipeline to discover and translate new knowledge into applied outcomes. Whether it be discovery, development or a service delivery, we can develop applications for you with real world utility. Our technical expertise will enable us to consult with you in a range of areas including:

Advice on genomics approaches to address business challenges

Selecting appropriate technologies, study design, data production and its analysis

Connections with researchers to develop collaborations

Access to new technology and reliable delivery Funding assistance for pilot projects and

contributions to grant programs Planning and the execution of development projects

Custom Solutions We know every project is unique. Our genomic services can be tailored to help you stay ahead of competition in today’s fast paced environment. We help companies with the entire spectrum of services in the genomics value chain - from interpretational needs to complex research projects.

Accesible expertise We believe that the deepest connections come from ongoing collaboration and dialogue. We allocate a dedicated account manager to each industry partner to ensure continuous support.

Networks Highly networked at the national and international level with researchers, institutions, and funding agencies.

R&D with a registeredresearch agency We are a Registered Research Agency (RRA) and therefore registered as Research Service Provider (RSP). This means every dollar spent with AGRF could be eligible for a tax offset.

Commitment to quality Quality and the provision of quality data is an integral part of our everyday routine; our culture and why we take pride in what we do. AGRF has established large-scale logistical and technical systems that ensure quality data and outcomes for projects that are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. To ensure our regulated services generate and deliver the highest level of quality to our users, we participate in national and international benchmarking programs (e.g. American College of Pathologists).

Our accreditations We have a number of services accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities, Australia (NATA) in the field of Biological Testing and we operate in compliance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17025:2005. We are also certified by a number of our technology suppliers as Certified Service Providers.

We welcome user audits We see our clients as valued partners and in order to maintain transparency, operational confidence and service excellence we are routinely audited by our clients including; manufacturers, pharmaceutical groups, clinical genomics groups, government bodies and clinical service providers to comply with their quality management system (QMS) and to ensure all of our services and procedures meet their rigorous regulatory requirements.

Case Examples DIAGNOSTICS - organisations outsource cytogenetic microarray investigations on developmental delay and miscarriage testing that are rebatable through Medicare. AGRF processes supplied genomic DNA samples with NATA accredited processes and provides raw data for interpretation by the client’s in-house cytogenetic experts. TEST DESIGN AND DELIVERY – with a commercial supplier of forensics testing kits, AGRF developed a DNA detection methodology to apply in their supply chain to meet with a new Australian testing standard. AGRF continues to routinely provide this testing to the client for batch verification. SERVICE PRODUCT - A lifestyle genomics company uses AGRF’s microbial services for gut microbiome analysis in conjunction with healthcare practitioners. Stool samples are provided, and the bacteria in the stool are profiled using DNA sequencing which is analysed to provide composition reports based on the scientific literature.

OUR FACILITYWith five laboratories distributed nationally and state-of-the-art genomics equipment we offer innovative capabilities, technology accessibility and comprehensive support.
