2008/2009• Ensure WTO-compatibility, ie that region, but if

possible also countries have substantial sectoral coverage – art V of GATS, important also for WTO-acceding countries

• Commitments in growth boosting sectors, but insectors ACPs choose and in accordance with level of development

• Ensure regional integration – strengthens the market and creates economies of scale in the region

• Get at least market access as much as big industrialized countries and big emerging markets (MFN major trading economies)

• Predictability and legal certainty for companies, incl in establishment in non-services
