Newsflash: emojis aren't just for your phone. Enter Missoma - cult London accessories label and creators of the Funny Face jewellery collection. Our favourite is the Sunny Face necklace - with luxurious black diamond detail and just the right amount of sass, we’ll be turning to this when the summer sun isn't quite as bright. Pair with an open silk pyjama shirt and backless loafers.

SHIP SHAPE HOT METAL

Catwalks were awash this season with navy Metallics are the ultimate hero piece – hues (Chanel), bold stripes (Thakoon) and great for adding a high-shine finish and rope ties (JW Anderson) this season, which perfect for the festive season. can only mean one thing – Nautical is back, or did it ever really leave? Invest in a classic Breton which never goes out of style.

Graziashop.com: Editor’s Notes

Decorated with graphic blooms against a bright blue hue, Stella McCartney’s silk top has spring written all over it. Temper the eye-popping print with tonal accessories, or mirror the models with the matching trousers.

Graziashop.com: Editor’s Notes

Tom Ford is all about the jet-set glamour and these tortoiseshell sunglasses are the easiest way to work the look. Just oversized enough to flatter all face shapes, and with Boho round frames, these shades are perfect for that exotic getaway. Team with an oversized scarf while you’re rushing to the jet and a one piece when you’re kicking back on the jetty.

Graziashop.com: Editor’s Notes

German brand Seeberger has crafted hats since 1890, so they know a thing or two about flattering, functional headwear. Turning their hand to the perennial panama (a classic style that ensures you're never far from fashion's favour) we think the grosgrain ribbon is a chic touch, and will be wearing it poolside with square frame sunglasses, like these Myrte shades from Chloé.

When it comes to cold weather cover-ups, Marni's blue parka jacket can do no wrong. Light enough to layer with cosy knits and scarves, and with a utilty style front fastening, this piece is a winter staple. Place it over a textured top, like D.Efect's black Tami sweatshirt.

Luxe leather accessories brand AEVHA London has got lust-have in the bag with their navy tote. We love the contrast colour block panels and dainty clutch handle, and will be wearing it with its cross-body strap for a hands-free approach.

Barbara Bonner Andrea Bag

Creator of the cult-classic 'Lilith' bag (toted by Kate Moss and Olivia Palermo no less), Barbara Bonner's spring/summer collection sees an update to her fringed favourites. Opt for the emerald green 'Andrea'bag' pint-sized in stature, this mini metallic piece packs a punch in the style stakes, especially thanks to its on-trend bucket silhouette and signature tasseled trim.

LOVE: the fringe

Tassels and fringe offer instant Boho appeal. And who doesn’t want to look like Kate Moss?!

LOVE: the size

Mini bags continue to make a statement but this ever so slightly larger size is perfect for holding all party essentials.

LOVE: the shine

The eye-popping emerald shade has a metallic sheen, giving you the perfect polish.

Rock Emma Cook’s Co-Ords!

Emma Cook’s digital prints and cool-girl designs are a must-have for the style set, and the same can only be said for the Blusa top. Part of her resort collection, we love the pixilated print, and how it offers a double dose of summer fun (not to mention an instant outfit) when you pair it with the matching shorts. We’ll be wearing it three ways – teaming the shorts with little tees, the top with culottes and both pieces together for a match made in co-ord heaven.

LOVE: the versatility

This dream duo offers not one, not two, but three styling options – split the top and shorts up and team with your favourite separate, or keep them paired for an instant outfit.

LOVE: co-ords

We love matchy-matchy styling this summer. Just add heels and you’re away!

LOVE: the print

Houndstooth is the classic print that is never far from fashion’s favour.

THREE WAYS TO WEAR: THE BOMBER JACKET

Back for 2014 with a myriad of textures, shapes and finishes, Einstein’s favourite topper (yes, really) can be worn many ways. Here’s three we love…

10. Evening Proof that bombers work after dark, shoulder-robe over a slouchy tee, complementing the sequinned detail with mirrored brogues. By Malene Birger, Embellished Wool Bomber, £545

11. Work Sleek, with a crisp contrasting panel, wear with a white vest and tailored trousers. A-Line London, Textured Cotton-Blend Bomber, £229

12. Weekend A snug collar and checked print make this piece the perfect winter warmer – throw over spray on skinnies and weathered biker books. Carven, Tartan Wool Jacket, £740 Orla Broderick

PRETTY CLEAR

Peek-a-boo panels, light as air fabrics and spliced and diced finishes mark the mood this autumn.

A trend that will surpass the seasons, sheer is all about the conceal and reveal, where you can choose to show as little (or as much) as you like. On the catwalks, it was seen in all manner of guises - Devoré details, mesh cut-outs and gossamer-thin overlays were everywhere - even Burberry chose barely there lace dresses to underpin their cosy blanket coats.

Layered over lingerie (a sporty bra and micro shorts will mix things up,) dark blooms of translucent tulle look best at night, add a smoky eye and scarlet lip and you’re good to go.

For day, show just a slither of skin with a chiffon shirt - peeped under a classic blazer and teamed with tailored trousers make for the perfect work ensemble. Maximise coverage with a nude slip (your new best friend for this trend) or opt for pieces with well-placed panels for a subtle play of hide and seek.

MOD SQUAD

Overblown silhouettes, high hemlines and colour-pop palettes get the 2014 treatment this Autumn/Winter

There’s nothing fashion loves more than a throwback, and with Autumn/Winter’s new crop of sixties styles, from glossy go-go boots, mod dresses and statement gloves, we’re coming out swinging.

Cocoon coats, A-Line skirts and pointed flats mark the mood (clean and uncluttered being the name of the game), and streamlined staples take a trip down memory lane with Op Art prints and pastel palettes. When it comes to key buys, a Roll Neck can do you no wrong, topping off everything from dresses to jumpers. Consider a small cross body bag, layering under XXL outerwear for extra credit. Beehives are optional, but we really don’t think you need it. Orla Broderick
