The Oracle PPM Integration Pack for Primavera P6 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

has been designed to give you complete control over how and when your data is

synchronized between the applications. By leveraging the technology of the AIA

architecture we provide an intuitive and adaptable interface between Primavera P6

and Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Project Costing.

To ensure data consistency between the applications the PIP will control which

system serves as the master for data. Global information regarding calendars,

resources, rates and financial cost will be controlled by JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.

Primavera P6 will control the schedule and the resource assignments. This ensures

that both systems are fully utilizing their strengths while leveraging the strength of

the other application.

Another key feature in the Oracle PPM Integration Pack for Primavera P6 and JD

Edwards EnterpriseOne is the flexibility to choose where you want to create your

projects. The PIP has provided the ability to create a project in either application

and gather the relevant details to establish the project in the other application. This

provides the ultimate flexibility in your business process to support your specific

requirements.

Oracle PPM Integration Pack for Primavera P6 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

helps reduce the time it takes to track employee time. In Primavera P6 timesheets

are used to track both project and non-project time. These timesheets are brought

into JD Edwards to both properly pay the employees as well as to show the full labor

cost on projects, thus saving time and cost since employees only need to enter their

time in one place.

Finally, the Oracle PPM Integration Pack for Primavera P6 and JD Edwards

EnterpriseOne provides you with options as to when you want to synchronize your

data. Some projects may require more frequent updates due to higher visibility to

the organization and others may not require synchronization but once a month. With

the provided controls you will have the ability to schedule the frequency of when a

project is synchronized so that your data is available when and where it is needed.
