Basic Information
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, monitoring and documenting safety-related processes. He optimises the relevant deployment of safety personnel and is responsible for monitoring all hazardous work in his allocated areas.

Areas of responsibility
– Operative coordination of safety personnel– First point of contact for site area coordinators and activity coordinators– Support for safety checks and inspections– Implementation of independent safety inspections in accordance/cooperation with the Site Safety
Officers– Documentation of working times, activity reports and safety incidents– Photographic documentation– Monitoring of relevant measures, such as fall prevention, crane operation, scaffolding structures,
scaffolding work and hot work– Coordination of restricted areas, e.g. for pressure tests

Consistently high quality training standards apply to all of our Dräger staffing functions. Our training concept ensures that training content and the competency of our staff is maintained at a consistently high level and in accordance to SCC, OSHA or OPITO* (depending on indivdual and local needs).

Training as a Safety Supervisor according to Dräger's training concept:– Experience from large-scale projects– Further training in safety supervision and as a Fire/ Safety Guard
Occupational Safety:– SCCP Safety Certificate Contractors or Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training*– Permit-to-Work Training– Basic Risk Assessment and Risk Control Training– Basic principles of customer and shutdown-specific occupational safety– CSE Training– Safe Operation of Hot Work Equipment in Hazardous Environments
Emergency Response:– Basic Emergency Response Training– Undertake First Response to Fire Incidents– Basic First Aid Training*– Occupational health and fitness assessments*
Equipment:– Extended knowledge about portable gas detection technology– Able to evaluate readings of measurements– Operate respiratory protection equipment*
*depending on individual requirements

Our Authorised Gas Testers perform authorisation measurements and monitor the atmosphere in your plant together or on behalf of operations according to the respective occupational hygiene plan, inc. all necessary documentation. Additionally, they are qualified to assume the tasks of a Safety Guard.
