Use caution when incorporating software screen captures to your presentations; they are often difficult to read when shown on the larger session screens. If you do choose to include one, follow these best practices for screen capture and sharing:

Tips and Tricks Banner 9
• Screenshot should fill most of the slide
• Take the screenshot on the highest resolution possible on your computer. The screenshot should use a resolution in 4x3 aspect ratio and should be as high a pixel count as possible, for example, in 4x3 resolution, this would be 960x720 for 720 HD or 1440x1080 for full “1080” HD
• Instructions for capturing screenshots:o Windows – https://support.microsoft.com/en-
us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots
o Mac – https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201361
• Screenshots should not include any PII or URLs from your institution that may be “live” and would work if someone used them while watching the recording. If you do have this, we suggest covering it up with a shape in powerpoint.

ESM Setup and Configuration
Installation guide could be confusing. Read it carefully and you should be able to get through the setup
Use the Solution manager worksheets given at the end of the Installation guide.
Make sure your oracle password file is not corrupt. If it is not present or is corrupt, your upgrade won’t go through
Do not blindly follow the guide. Specially while creating startup.sh script for slave agents.
