RYAN AND TEE JAY PROPOSE TO KELLI

Kelli and Ryan

Kelli and Ryan are horse people. Ryan is a team roper and Kelli shows horses, so it was only natural that Ryan’s long time buddy, Tee Jay, would help out with the proposal. Ryan wrote “will you marry me ?” on Tee Jay’s flank for a unique and sentimental proposal. Kelli soon began to make plans for the wedding and first chose the venue - the beautiful ballroom at UCO. Kelli next contacted her photographer, Kim Stubbs, who Kelli says, “…did an amazing job. I had no worries - she was on top of it at all times. I look at our images and wish I could go back and relive the day all over again.”

Kelli’s mother was instrumental in turning the ballroom into a charming western themed, country chic extravaganza. Burlap here, burlap there…all quaint and countrified decorations that Kelli and Ryan loved. Kelli’s one of a kind bouquet (also made by her mother) was fashioned out of preserved roses, burlap flowers, and wheat - trés country chic! Even the cake was a country creation embellished with burlap and preserved roses and carried out Kelli’s color palette beautifully.

After dancing their first dance as husband and wife to Soul Mate by Josh Turner, they joined everyone on the dance floor and picked up the tempo to a fast two step called Oklahoma Breakdown. The newlyweds stayed and enjoyed the music, family, and friends until the last song was played and recalled that, “it was evening where guests could let their hair down, relax, and party on.”


Ryan had two requests for the wedding. He didn’t want to wear a tux, which was perfect because Kelli wanted the men to wear cowboy hats, jeans, and boots. The detail Kelli loves most - the cowboy hats! Ryan also wanted to serve “real food”. Some down home country food - chicken, brisket, mashed potatoes, and corn. Perfect for this down home Oklahoma western wedding!

Rebbekah and Mike’s love story culminated in a “simple but elegant” wedding at Dominion House in Guthrie, OK. Dominion House provided the perfect backdrop to showcase the warmth and hospitality that Rebekkah and Mike had envisioned for their wedding and reception. Rebbekah had hoped for a wedding where their guests would enjoy close, intimate conversations and fun because as Rebekkah says, “ We are so blessed to have family and friends who took time out of their busy lives to celebrate our big day with us.”

An extravagant buffet dinner, catered by Dominion House, included Dominion House salad, organic spinach salad dressed in a warm bacon dressing, southern style baked ham, herb infused roasted chicken, whole french-style roasted potatoes, and wedding cake for dessert! A tall and elegant ice sculpture by Ideas in Ice, was inscribed with their names and definitely provided a big WOW factor.

The first dance was to Mary Chapin Carpenter’s Grow Old With Me. After dancing, the couple went around to the tables to spend time with their guests and to thank them for sharing in their wedding day.

Party favors for guests included personalized candles with Swarovski crystals and adorable miniature gumball machines for the children to enjoy.

Guests blew happy bubbles toward the newlyweds as they made their way to the waiting limo and left for a fabulous honeymoon in Oahu, Hawaii.
