e Ohio Campus Compact and Walsh University’s Offices of Global and Serving Learning Present Administrators, faculty, and students will join community partners and members of the public in this important and timely dialogue to address critical issues of hunger in our local and global communities and to seek solutions to hunger through the teaching, research, and service activities of Ohio’s colleges and universities. Ohio will be the third state to host a state-wide meeting of higher educators devoted to seeking hunger solutions. CALL FOR PAPERS We invite proposals from college and university faculty, staff, administrators, students as well as community partners addressing research, best practices, and model programs that address solutions to hunger. ere are five areas of emphasis for the dialogue: Developing student leadership Policy and activism Domestic and global perspectives on food and hunger Curricular, co-curricular and pedagogical approaches Developing and sustaining community partnerships. e conference steering committee invites proposals for complete panels, workshops and individual papers. Proposals and individual papers may present original research, best practices, or model programs. Proposals for workshops should offer specific “deliverables” for audience members that can be implemented in a broad variety of institutions or agencies.
