Welcome to the October edition of twenty10, keeping you up to date with events happening at Buffalo, 10 Feet Tall and Buffalo Lounge in Cardiff.

Lots going on this month - we’re celebrating Buffalo’s 5th birthday! Along with the 200-year old Bavarian custom of Oktoberfest where you can expect continental & German beers, DJs, beer garden, steins & pitchers, live music and loads more!

Swn Festival returns to Buffalo Bar with a fantastic line up of live acts over 3 days, hosted by Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and curated by some of Cardiff’s finest promoters and labels.

We also have the best new bands, party DJs, videogame tournaments, Red Bull party with VERY special guests, vintage clothes stalls, fundraisers, comedy, films, spoken word jams, a giant brass band and Halloween parties!!

Island Records has announced the launch of a new live initiative: Island Life. Life will provide a platform for the new breed of Island acts.

Welshman PETE LAWRIE is the latest musician to have found favour at labelmate’s MUMFORD AND SON’s West London folk & gospel night Communion. Music is in this talented young man’s blood - his Grandfather even played on ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ by The Beatles. With his rough-hewn vocals he is an electric live prospect. LAUREN PRITCHARD is a 22-year-old hailing from Jackson, Tennessee, described by The Sunday Times as ‘wonderful, brooding, strung-out soul’.

Zimbabwe born TINASHE will bring his debut album to life on tour, which gained 4* from Q Magazine. Tinashe will be touring with Eliza Doolittle and Mark Ronson after this stint.
