KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER- AMIANTIT PIPE SYSTEMS -GOA

The Saudi Arabian Amiantit Group is a leading industrial organisation that manufactures high quality pipe

systems, supplies advanced pipe technologies, and provides water management services. The Group

delivers to municipal, industrial, agricultural and energy markets worldwide supporting global

infrastructure development.

Amiantit is comprised of 37 production plants, 11 technology companies, and a number of trading and

service companies from all corners of the globe.

The other plant is Amiantit Fiberglass Industries India Pvt. Ltd., (AFIPL), a joint venture between Salgaocar

and Amiantit and is a manufacturing facility in Goa, that is currently servicing the largest ever order for

5000 single wall GRP storage tanks for Reliance Industries. In addition AFIPL has recently been awarded a

contact by Dutch oil major, the Shell Group, for 2000 double wall GRP underground storage for Shell

India. The country head of the plant in Goa is Shyam Kumar (Ex-employee of Owens Corning from SMT

team) and the CEO is K. Ramani.

Per annum requirement of Glass for the Goa plant is about 1500 tons/Year. They have invested about 50

crores of Rupees in the Indian Venture with an employee strength of 150 in the Goa Plant.

Their future plans is to grow the Indian Market with their current product line…

We export Rovings to the Middle East plants of Amiantit.

THE INDIAN PLANT OF AMIANTIT

Material sourced from OCIL :Amiantit takes Multiend Roving ie 495 and 359A . It also takes Single end Rovings ie T-30 both R25H 2400 tex and R25H 600 tex. It takes WR of 800 gsm and Mat in a very minimal quantity.

Our Annual Sale to Amiantit last year was 1200 tons out of which 495 sale was approximately 550 tons 359A 160 tons and T-30 of 450 tons WR of 30 tons and Mat of 30 tons

The Forecast for this year is almost 1500 tons.

The pipes, with a diameter up to 4000mm, will be made from fibreglass reinforced polyester (GRP). Amiantit is the only company worldwide that commercially produces such a huge size. The advantages of Amiantit Flowtite™ GRP products are that they are strong, durable and corrosion resistant which guarantees long term systems operation performance with m i n i m u m o p e r a t i o n a l / maintenance costs, and there is no need for periodic corrosion survey and cathodic protection as is required for steel pipes and tanks.

Amiantit is the sole owner of the world patents for Flowtite™, the most important technological process used in the manufacture of glass reinforced polyester (GRP) pipes. Flowtite™ GRP pipes and fittings are used globally in pressure / gravity systems, for raw water pumping mains, drinking water supply pipelines, sewerage force mains, pipelines in waste water treatment plants, slip lining / re-lining for rehabilitation of networks, pipelines in desalination plants, sub-aqueous applications, and many industrial applications.
