Autumn is an explosion of colour that turns the

Adelaide Hills into a canvas of gorgeous gold,

pink, brown and radiant red. The Oakbank

Autumn Prelude encapsulates this beautiful

time to be in the Hills.

The meeting launches the jumps racing season

in South Australia and attracts some of the best

jumps horses and jockeys Australia has to offer.

The family friendly event will include fabulous

amusements for the kids, full bar and tote

facilities for the adults and a great country

racing environment. There is a range of

hospitality packages available for guests

wishing to make the most of the trackside

atmosphere.

Racecourse is home to jumps racing in South

Australia, which combines with flat racing to

make two days of thrilling racing over Easter

each year. The historic Oakbank Racing Club is

in its 138th year, with the iconic Easter Racing

Carnival first held in 1876 – an event which

regularly attracts more than 80,000 visitors

annually and qualifies as the world’s biggest

picnic race meeting.

The ‘Oakbank Experience’ is unique, offering

a carnival atmosphere in breathtaking

surroundings. Corporate guests and groups

of families and friends can enjoy numerous

trackside hospitality areas, rides and

amusements, an animal petting zoo, roving

entertainers and of course thrilling

thoroughbred racing in an idyllic setting.

The CS Hayes Bar Package$95 per person

Everyone can do with some extra luck at the

races! Located in the historic CS Hayes Bar,

this area is just steps away from the Members

Grandstand which overlooks the winning post.

Package includes:

• An assortment of hot and cold cocktail

style food

• Eight beverage vouchers per person –

selection of beer, red and white wine,

sparkling white wine and assorted soft drinks

• Admission to the racecourse

• Casual seating and cocktail tables

• Race books (one between two guests)

• TV monitors and nearby tote facilities.

A roped-off private area can be arranged for groups with a minimum of 20 guests.

Premium Sheltered Area $65 per person

Located at the rear of the grandstand this

premium sheltered area comes with everything

you need to enjoy a day at the races.

Package includes:

• BBQ buffet style food

• Cash bar facilities - selection of beer, red

and white wine, sparkling white wine

and assorted soft drinks


• Private area with casual seating and

undercover shade


• Nearby tote facilities and views of the big screen.

and sumptuous catering.

The PaddockFREE for Oakbank Racing Club Members

$10 for General Admission ticket holders

This year will see the introduction of ‘The

Paddock’, a precinct developed to revive the

grandeur of racing in a unique country setting.

The beautifully grassed area behind the

Members’ Stand and adjacent to the horse stalls

is dedicated to country chic, a sophisticated

space where decadence meets nostalgia.

In 'The Paddock', racegoers can experience

elements of modern luxury within the country

picnic setting, all while sipping quality wines

and listening to laid-back jazz, funk and soul

music.

A selection of South Australian’s finest food and

beverages will be on offer to purchase.

Open on both the Saturday and Monday of the

Easter Carnival.

The Races have long been synonymous with

stunning fashions. This year’s Oakbank Easter

Monday holds added significance in the fashion

ranks with the event featuring as an automatic

qualifying heat of the statewide Fashion at

The Races competition searching for South

Australia’s most stylish racegoer.

Oakbank FinalistThe lucky winner of Oakbank’s Fashions on the

Field will progress to the Fashion at The Races

final at Morphettville in April 2014, where they’ll

be treated to hospitality at SAJC’s Schweppes

Oaks Day and two nights accommodation at

the Oaks Plaza Pier Glenelg.

Winner & Runner Up PrizesUp for grabs in the final is a Luxury Holiday for

two to Paris, the fashion capital of the world,

valued at $30,000. With the runner-up taking

Race Day and 7am on Easter meetings.

• Packages commence half an hour prior to the

1st Race and conclude at the end of the last race

• A 15% non-refundable deposit is required upon

booking for all hospitality package bookings

except for the Easter Monday Young Members

Marquee which requires full payment upon

booking. All payments are non-refundable.

• Dietary requirements must be confirmed upon

booking or confirmation of final numbers.

• Tickets will be provided upon receipt of

full payment – minimum five working

days prior to the event.

• BYO beverages are not accepted in the

grandstand, marquees or hospitality

areas under any circumstances.

To receive member’s discount, bookings must be made by contacting the Oakbank Racing Club. Discounts on hospitality packages are not available on-line. Discounts are only available on the Member’s ticket purchased and not on hospitality packages purchased for the Member’s guests.
