Recent experience of working with children new to the English Language 6. Recent experience of using a school/setting behaviour policy Knowledge and skills Essential The ability to effectively: 7. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively as part of an EYFS team. 8. Have a strong understanding of EYFS classroom roles and responsibilities. 9. Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school. 10. Show a strong working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum, Development Matters, Letters & Sounds and other relevant learning programmes 11. Understand the principles of early child development and learning processes and in particular barriers to learning. 12. Show excellent organisation skills to aid the preparation of resources, create a stimulating learning environment and support others. 13. Observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupil’s progress, linking these to the curriculum and providing relevant next steps 14. Demonstrate a secure working knowledge of relevant policies and codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
