Craft Night Fair Monday, November 21 • 6 - 8:30 pm • SNB Main Office • $20 per person

Do you like crafting? Come to our Freedom Years craft night fair event. This will make a fun evening out with your friends! Local crafters will be set up around the room for you to shop and get ideas for making your own crafts at home. There will be demonstrations through the night for you to watch and learn. Facebook 101 Workshop Tuesday, November 15 • 6:30 - 8 pm SNB Main Office • Upper Floor Room

Come and learn how to properly use Facebook with ease. If you need to learn from the beginning or just want to ask questions about specific settings, this is the class for you. Our instructor for this class will be Kevin Spear, who was recently employed at Facebook in Arizona. He will start with basic set ups and profiles and work on through to posting, creating events, privacy settings and more. Reserve by 11/10

Join Freedom Years for an evening of Broadway at the Schuster Center. 42nd Street features some of the greatest songs ever written, such as We’re in the Money, Lullaby of Broadway, Shuffle off to Buffalo, Dames, I Only Have Eyes for You, and, of course, 42nd Street. Based on a novel and 1933 movie, 42nd Street tells the story of a starry-eyed dancer, named Peggy, who moves to New York to audition for the new Broadway musical. When the leading lady breaks her ankle, Peggy takes over and becomes a star.

Trips may be paid for by cash, check, or VISA. Checks should be made payable to Second National Bank - Freedom Years. Refund policies on extended vacations vary from trip to trip. Please review the cancellation policy included on each trip brochure. Travel/Health Policy: It is required that persons needing assistance be accompanied by a companion who is capable and totally responsible for providing that assistance. Neither Freedom Years nor its suppliers may assist with medications, wheelchairs, or physically lift persons onto transportation vehicles. 12 Reasons to Review your WillCreating a will and an estate plan is not a “one and done” event. Many events can cause a perfectly-crafted plan to fail to meet expectations and the needs of a family.

For example, two changes in the federal estate tax made in 2012 rendered a great many wills obsolete. First, the amount exempt from federal estate taxes was lifted permanently to $5 million (plus inflation adjustments). Second, the exemption was made “portable” for married couples. Strategies employed in an estate plan to reduce estate taxes were made completely unnecessary for smaller estates.

The most common technique for deferring federal estate taxes has long been the marital deduction trust, coupled with a “bypass” trust. When one combines “portability” with the enlarged federal exemption, a family fortune of up to $10 million (plus inflation) can avoid all federal estate taxes simply by leaving everything to a surviving spouse and filing an estate tax return when the first spouse dies. The favorable outcome of the “two-trust” plan is now possible with the simplest of wills.

As a rule of thumb, a will and estate plan should be reviewed every five years or so. Here’s a checklist of 12 reasons why a will might need to be amended.

• An heir has died. • A new potential heir has been born. • A divorce. • The divorce of an heir. • Retirement. • A move to another state. • The sale or gift of assets bequeathed in the will. • A material change in wealth, up or down. • A change in federal tax laws. • A change in state tax laws. • An heir has become disabled, or perhaps drug dependent. • Estrangement from heirs.
