Sir, It is proposed to be filled-up the vacant posts of GDSMM as mentioned below under the Unit of Sub Record Officer, Durgapur RMS, Durgapur-713201 of RMS ‘WB’ Division, Howrah-711101. Particulars of the Post is detailed below:- 1) Name of the Post- GDSMM 2) No of vacancy - 01 3) Community break-up –UR-01, SC-X, ST-X, OBC-X. 4) The Post is admissible for time related continuity allowance (TRCA) of Rs. 2295-45-3695 plus DA as due from time to time. In this context, enclosed please find-the application pro-forma (annexure-A), list of self attested documents to be enclosed with the application (annexure-B), followed by the eligibility conditions (annexure-C) , other conditions (annexure-D), Proforma of undertaking(annexure-E). You are requested to sponsor/nominate eligible candidates,as per requirement of the post before the undersigned along with application in the prescribed proforma & other documents enclosed(as applicable), as per Annexure ”A” to “E”. The last date of submission of nomination together with duly completed applications from the eligible candidates will be the 31.03.2016. In pursuance of Dte’s Comm. no. 17-39/2012/GDS dated 16.09.2015 circulated through Circle Office No. Rectt/R-100/GDS/2015 dated 22.09.2015, Dte’s Comm. no 17-39/6/2012/GDS dated 14.01.2015, & 17-15/2015-GDS, dated 07.05.2015, circulated through Circle Office No. Rectt/R-100/GDS/2015, dated 25.08.2015, applications are invited from eligible candidates as per enclosed application pro-forma (annexure-A) for filling up the vacant posts of GRAMIN DAK SEVAK MAIL MAN (GDSMM) as noted below under the Unit of Sub Record Officer(SRO), Durgapur RMS of RMS ‘WB’ Division, Howrah-711101 in accordance with the provision of Department of Posts, Gramin Dak Sevak (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2011 as amended from time to time. ANNEXURE-C

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

A. AGE: The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDSMM

posts shall be 18 and 30 years respectively as on the date of notification of the vacancy. The

maximum age shall be relaxable by 03 years to those belonging to OBC categories and 05 years

in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST.

B. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

(i) ‘Secondary School Examination pass certificate’ of 10th standard conducted by any

recognized board of school education in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification

for the post of GDSMM.

(ii) BASIC COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE: The applicant will be required to furnish at least 60

days’ duration basic computer training certificate from a recognized Computer Training Institute.

Computer Training Certificates from Central Government/ State Government/ University/

Boards, etc. will be acceptable for this purpose. Certificates from Private Computer Training

Institutes shall also be acceptable subject to their recognition by Head of Postal Circle concerned

based on their reputation, credibility and quality of education (As per list given in enclosure-I

& II). This requirement of basic computer knowledge certificate shall be relaxable in cases

where an applicant has studied computer as a subject in Matriculation or class XII or higher

education qualification and in such cases, a separate certificate will not be required to be

submitted.

C. RESIDENCE: Possession of residence in delivery jurisdiction of the Recruiting Unit

within one month after selection but before engagement shall be mandatory.

D. ADEQUATE MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD: The Candidate shall have to give an undertaking

that he has other sources of income besides the allowances paid or to be paid by the Government

for adequate means of livelihood for himself and his family.

E. FURNISHING OF SECURITY: On engagement as GDSMM, the candidate so engaged shall

be required to furnish security of Rs. 10000/-(Ten thousand) only in the form of Fidelity

Bond or NSC pledged to the Department in the name of the President of India.

F. KNOWLEDGE OF CYCLING: The candidate should know cycling.

ANNEXURE-D

OTHER CONDITIONS

(i) Applications without the required documents will be rejected.

(ii) Only one application by each candidate will be entertained.

(iii) Application submitted with false / incorrect information will be rejected.

(iv) The undersigned reserves the right to cancel the candidature of any one at

any stage without assigning any reason.

(v) The entire selection procedure may be cancelled at any time on

administrative ground without assigning any reason.

(vi) The place of work is under respective Railway Station of concerned

Recruiting Units. The time of work will be either day session/afternoon

session/evening session/night session i.e. for 24 hrs. as & when required

basis. The engagement will not confer any right to claim any regular post

in the Department.

(vii) A GDS can be transferred from one post/ unit to another post/ unit in

public interest.

(viii) A GDS shall not claim to be at par with the Central Government

employees.

(ix) Combination of duties of a GDS shall be permissible.

(x) A GDS will not engage in any activity with any outside agency which

would be detrimental to the business or interest of the RMS office.
