TYPES OF WASTE
TERMS TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING
WET WASTE COMPOSTING
KITCHEN WASTE : Vegetable and fruit peels, leftover food, etc.
WET WASTE : Typical organic waste which is degradable like kitchen waste,
fallen leaves, twigs, etc.
Easy step to compost your kitchen
waste
1. Take a bucket drill hole a round the bucket.
2. Put a layer of soil at the bottom mix some dried leaves /sawdust in the bucket/pot.
3. Separate your kitchen waste (vegetable, fruit, small amount of wasted food) and add if daily in the bucket/bin.
4. Some layering with dried leaves and sawdust should be done after every 3-4days,Cover the pot/bucket.
5. Every 2 day ,stir and turn the pile in the pot/bucket for better aeration.
6. Within 60 day /2 months, your pile should start forming compost that is dry, dark brown and crumbly and smelling of earth.

Home composting easy step by step procedure
1. Dump dry leaves Half inch at the bottom of the bin with
holes on 4 sides
2. Add coco peat on to dry leaves or (old ready compost if
you have) approximately 1 inch bed
3 .Dump your kitchen waste veg and Nonveg Ratio of kitchen
waste and Dry leaves 1:1 ratio
4. Add fist full microbial brick powder ratio will be more if
Kitchen waste is more then add 2 fist full of bio brick powder
5. Cover coco peat same volume as wet waste approximately
1kg of wet waste 150 grams of coco peat
Microbial brick powder will improve soil amendment and
accelerate the process of composting ,Instead of microbial
brick powder you can use old compost also along with dry
leaves and cocopeat or saw dust .
After 3-4 weeks you will get sweet smelling black manure
