4 X NOMINATIONS IN WCOTY AWARDS 2016 Mazda has excelled at the 2016 World Car Awards, after being nominated for four different awards, which is more than any other manufacturer.

The all-new MX-5 and CX-3 have been named as finalists for the overall World Car of

the Year title, plus the MX-5 and CX-3 are listed as finalists for the World Car Design of the Year Awards 2016.

Launched last summer, the all-new Mazda CX-3’s style, quality and generous equipment tally help it stand out from other small crossovers in the market place. Available with 120ps and 150ps SKYACTIV-G petrol, plus 105ps SKYACTIV-D diesel engines, all versions of the sophisticated all-new Mazda CX-3 feature MZD-Connect with 7-inch colour touchscreen and Multimedia commander, while Sport Nav models are fitted with Mazda’s Active Driving Display system – a segment first head-up display system.

Having made its UK public debut at the 2015 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the fourth generation of Mazda’s iconic MX-5 has already claimed a host of influential awards including being named 2016 Japan Car of the Year, 2016 What Car? Best Convertible and 2015 Auto Express Roadster of the Year.

4 X NOMINATIONS IN WCOTY AWARDS 2016

With a choice of 131ps 1.5-litre or 160ps 2.0-litre SKYACTIV-G petrol engines, the nine model all-new Mazda MX-5 core range, has been enhanced with the launch of the limited edition all-new Mazda MX-5 Sport Recaro.

The lightest MX-5 since the iconic original, the all-new Mazda MX-5 is shorter, lower and wider than the outgoing car, with the smallest overhangs and lowest centre of gravity yet. These dynamic proportions combined with Mazda’s KODO: Soul of Motion design philosophy ensure the latest version of the all-new Mazda MX-5’s styling reflects its focus on driving pleasure in a uniquely contemporary and dynamic way.

The annual World Car Awards are judged by a panel of 73 leading automotive journalists and the winners will be announced at the New York International Motor Show on March 24th. Norton Way Mazda would like to wish Mazda the best of luck.

THE AWARD FOR “MOST BEAUTIFUL CONCEPT CAR OF THE YEAR”GOES TO...

The success of the Mazda RX-Vision concept has continued into 2016, after winning ‘Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year at the 31st Festival Automobile International. First revealed at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show, Mazda’s striking rotary-powered sports car concept wowed crowds at its global debut with its exquisitely proportioned dimensions and stunning lines.

The vehicle represents Mazda’s vision for the RX line, that hasn’t been in the manufacturer’s line-up since 2012. The concept shows Mazda’s determination to continue the RX name by delivering a vehicle with convention- defying technology that exemplifies Mazda’s challenger spirit. The vehicle is a striking rendition of its KODO: Soul of Motion design philosophy with flowing proportions, whilst paying tribute to Mazda’s heritage and vehicle characteristics.

THE AWARD FOR “MOST BEAUTIFUL CONCEPT CAR OF THE YEAR”GOES TO...

#MAZDAMOMENTSThe RX- Vision beat off competition from the Bentley Exp10 Speed 6, Peugeot Fractal and Porsche Mission E at this year’s festival. Mazda’s international design chief, Ikuo Maeda accepted the award Tuesday evening together with Kevin Rice, Mazda’s European design director, Julien Montousse, his counterpart at Mazda North America, and Mazda designer Norihito Iwao.

The award was won due to the RX-Vision being the vehicle that embodied pure design creativity and emerging trends. It was one of the four grand prizes at the annual event, and the winners were chosen by a jury of experts and enthusiasts from the world of motorsports, architecture, fashion and design.

As ever we are very proud of our brand and the numerous awards that it continually wins.

A group of 10 employees represented Norton Way Group at the AM Awards on the 11th February 2016 at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham. The evening was dedicated to acknowledging exemplary performance, innovation and high achievers in the industry.

The evening consisted of Award giving in 5 different sections: Digital Awards, Excellence in Business, Manufacturer Awards, Retailer Awards and Headline Awards. Norton Way Group successfully achieved nominations for 4 different awards: Best Sales Team (New or Used Cars), Best Fleet Operation, Best Dealership and Best Retail Group (Up to & including 10 sites).
