Northeast Regional Research Universities Graduate Student Recruiting Mini-Symposium The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of New Hampshire is hosting the 2nd Annual Northeast Regional Graduate Student Recruiting Mini- Symposium on the afternoon of Friday, November 13, 2015. This mini-symposium will be an excellent opportunity to meet potential graduate students from other universities in the region and to explore collaborative research efforts with the faculty of other universities. Who Should Attend Engineering faculty looking to recruit high-quality graduate students Junior, Senior, and Master’s students Benefits of Attending For Faculty - In addition to providing a large pool of perspective students that may otherwise not be aware of a professor’s research, the symposium will also provide faculty networking opportunities with other faculty in the Northeast; thereby, providing a starting point for multi-university collaborations that otherwise may never have been realized. For Students - The symposium will allow students to become aware of research opportunities at other universities in the region. Format Faculty will provide 3-minute “speed dating” PowerPoint talk on their respective research program Discipline-specific concurrent sessions in 5 rooms Poster session will follow where faculty will have a poster on their topic(s) and can interact with perspective students and other faculty Concurrent to the Poster session, college admissions representatives will be available to provide additional information to students Schedule 12-1 Lunch 1-3 3-minute speed talks by faculty 3-5 Poster Session/College Recruiting Fair 4-6 Wine & Cheese Reception Logistics Date ........................
