1. To be the main contact point for all IL issues

2. To attend any IL meetings as appropriate

3. To assist in the delivery of IL training and

encourage appropriate staff to partake in

training

initiatives/campaigns to library staff and users

5. To monitor and feedback on all IL activity where

necessary

6. To ensure local IL strategies and plans are

consistent with the national strategies

relevant areas of interest/concern

8. To assist in developing yearly IL plans

Gwynedd - staff are taking Level 2/3 training through the

medium of Welsh Language

Monmouthshire - professional staff are doing Level 3 Agored

and mentoring staff through Level 2

Merthyr Tydfil – 2 IL champions are doing Level 3 Agored and

mentoring other staff thorough Level 2

Cardiff – an in house programme of staff training based on

Agored

Denbighshire – 2 staff awareness training days in Welsh/English

Wrecsam – presentation at staff conference
