The NorCal Vans Curbside Access Transit with a side door wheelchair lift features walk-through entry at the front passenger door, allowing alternative access for operators and ambulatory passengers to enter from the curbside. Add Abilitrax’s Shift-N-Step wheelchair lift base system, and you’ll have a package that will allow both wheelchair passenger entry and ambulatory entry through the same door. The Curbside Access modification allows for driver/operators to easily complete their service for wheelchair- user passengers, whether entering or exiting the van.

Nor-Cal Vans offers the “Shift N Step” dual entry system allows operators of paratransit vehicles the ability to use the Ford OEM van chassis and have a side-mounted 34” wide wheelchair lift installed. When you want to shift the lift so ambulatory users can access the side entry position, the driver simply activates the “Shift N Step” system and the wheelchair lift gently glides rearward allowing for ambulatory access.
