Log On ProcedureGo to Destiny and then click the Visual Tab….

NoodleTools RegistrationFrom this screen you will choose the :

Current Users: Sign in

at the top right hand side of the page.

New User Registration

You are going to click on

Create a Personal ID

on this screen.

“An account linked to a school/library subscription trial”

and then click “Register”

Username and PasswordYou will need to complete the username and password using the this information:

Refer to the handout given to you by the Librarian for access information.

New User Registration: About YouSelect: “I am a student or library patron” and select your graduation year.

You will need to enter your personal ID, which should be the same as what you use to sign on to the school computers

You will also need to enter you first and last initial as well as the last 4 digits of your phone number. It does not matter which phone number you choose to use.

Create a New ProjectYou will need to create a “New Project” before you can do anything else within NoodleTools.

Create a New ProjectProjects Style:

MLA Advanced – it default to this, if it does not then choose it.

You will choose this for all of your projects!

You will also need to give your project a name, which you enter in the “Description” box and then click “Create Project”.

DashboardYou will be able to list the specifics about the project you will be working on for further reference.

Components/To Do ListThis is the area where you will log your works cited information.

You may also choose to use the “notecards” section if you teacher permits electronic notecards.

Create CitationYou will choose the source (book?, magazine?, website?, electronic resource?) of your citation from the dropdown box and click “Create Citation”.

Create MLA CitationChoose the option under:

“We think you probably mean…” and press “next”.

Create MLA Citation cont.Continue answering the requested information.

Entering “Basic Information”Based on choosing an “editorial”, you will need to enter the “Basic” information that is requested.

Once you have entered all of the required information, select “Check for Errors” and then “Generate Citation” at the bottom of the page.

The more information that you are able to provide, the better the citation!

First, find an article and click citation in

EBSCOhost or another school database.

Click paste citation at top of Noodletools page.

You can also add a citation from a District database by using the “cut and paste” option.

1. Magazine article you found.

2. Click on Cite

3. Scroll to MLA and highlight and copy the citation

Open your project - drop down to “magazine”- click create citation and then continue. Then you click “Copy& Paste A Citation”

Paste copied citation, correct any errors in Citation and then Submit.

Paste here and edit if needed. [NOTE: The author should not be in all caps – fix this if it is!]

Click submit
