1Noble Fool Theatricals

It’s been a very busy Fall for our theater. I am sure many of you have heard our exciting news: In 2011, Noble Fool Theatricals will become Fox Valley Rep-

ertory – the largest professional, award-winning theater in the Fox Valley area.

After several years of growth, we have expanded our vision and wanted our name to represent you and our community. From outstanding pro-ductions to the area’s largest Performing Arts Academy, Fox Valley Rep-ertory will continue to create memorable moments for you, provide significant opportunities for youth in our area to explore the power of theatre and use that power to improve their lives and prepare them to be successful, contributing members of our community. Of course all of this is only possible with you. It’s a great time to become more involved with us. You can become a subscriber. We are offering the lowest subscription price in the area to celebrate our new name and mission. You don’t want to miss out on a terrific season of shows and exclusive events for Subscribers only. Recently, we have added outstanding community members to our Board of Directors, and both our corporate sponsors and individual donors have seen significant increases. It’s thrilling to see our commu-nity make a commitment to the arts. We have a special program called the “Founding Members Circle” that will recognize individual contribu-tions of at least $250 as we begin our Fox Valley Rep journey. Each show is a chance for us to create a shared moment with you. In that moment, we hope to connect to the human experience. A commu-nity with a strong emphasis on the arts is a healthy community, one that is constantly moving forward and sharing stories that build bridges between generations. We look forward to your continued support!

Stirling is no stranger to his current

role of Stanley Howard in this holi-

day’s production of It’s a Wonderful

Life: A Live Radio Play. It was last

year’s Youth Ensemble production

that prepared him for this profes-

sional adaptation.

When asked what he enjoys doing

offstage, he will tell you that he has

enjoyed being a missionary in two

different counties, Peru and Nicara-

gua. And aside from being in inde-

pendent films and performing

weekly stand-up comedy routines at

his school, he enjoys being “a state-

registered geek, playing Dungeons

and Dragons, and sound mixing.”

“I met Stirling a few months back

and was pleasantly surprised with his

professionalism at such a young age

while working in our Writers

Room,” says Producer Yajaira Marie

of Visual Edge Entertainment, Inc.

“We see great things for Stirling in

his future because of his talent, his

drive and his amazing family.”

Perhaps his professionalism comes

from the great training he has re-

ceived from local institutions like the

NFT Performing Arts Academy and

Northern Illinois University’s profes-

sional training program.

“Stirling’s imagination is especially

vivid and his work was consistently

interesting to watch during my

class,” says NIU professor Dr. Rich-

ard Poole. “He has a distinctive

individuality which is authentic and

entirely his. I'm glad that his talent

was recognized with this spotlight –

he certainly deserves it.”

Stirling Joyner is 15 years old and

lives in Kendall County, where he is

homeschooled and simultaneously

attends Parkview Christian Acad-

emy. Since his Noble Fool debut as

the lead in the Youth Ensemble’s

production of Oliver in 2008, Stir-

ling continues to be seen on the

Pheasant Run mainstage through

NFT academy classes, youth ensem-

ble performances, and professional

shows.

Perhaps most Noble Fool patrons

would recognize Stirling as the clas-

sic bully Scut Farcus in the profes-

sional staging of A Christmas Story

in 2008, a show that garnered critical

acclaim and still remains a favorite

among NFT subscribers.
