What is the Problem We Want to Fix in LA?

Strategic VisionBest Friends Animal Society through the strategy of our NKLA initiative will reduce the annual number of animals killed in Los Angeles shelters from 23,014 in 2011 to 4,152 by 2017.

This will increase the city’s save rate from 58% in 2011 to 90% by 2017.
